Okay, so I have beown like hair, with a lot of red undertones, so I'm afraid if I try to naturally lighten it, my hair will turn copper-y colour. I don't want to bleach my hair though. Help?

Unfortunately blonde hair is probably the hardest colour to achieve! Even me who is blonde struggles!
Now for the question of method!
Well you could try a blue or a silver shampoo, blue and purple shades actually neutralise red or orange tones in the hair, but as your hair is naturally dark I don't think it will do much!
Bleaching is the most effective way of lightening hair and it can be pretty drastic but it's worth it!
To understand why bleaching is necessary you have to know the since behind what actually happens to your hair when it is bleached,
So just read up about it here...

This will give you a better understanding of what actually happened and also the colour that your hair will achieve from bleaching!
And remember toners are a great way of toning downs red and orange colours!
Hope this helps! Xxx

Red Undertones + Lemon = Orange Highlights. My Dad's "blond", and with sun is very surf blond, but has red undertones. Once he put lemon in his hair (midlife crisis) and he had very bizarre orange hair. If you want to go lighter invest in a colorist, they will help you go lighter without it turning out weird.

Thanks! I think. You see, I donate my hair to cancer patients every 3 years... So even with that, bleach is usually out of the q. But, I might do it anyway. Thanks again.
