It has a very odd cornstarch texture to it...if you normally get by with one box, buy two. Maybe 3. Beware, because this stuff turns out true to the color on the box, and a LOT more vibrant than you'd expect. I bought a shade thinking it would add pigment to the underlying color I had...NOPE. Wrong move. My hair ended up the exact same bright red shade on the box. And I missed spots, because the texture was weird. It's basically totally opaque gum-paste. Not sure I'd have the guts to use it again. But it does smell nice...

I used it once and like Stephanie said, if you usually get by with one box, use two...I ran out before I was finished and my husband actually had to help me try and spread it from other parts of my hair to make sure it wouldn't be noticeable that I ran out of dye in the middle of coloring my hair, haha. It turned out the very bright red it was on the box and I thought it looked great...but then it faded to a totally different / washed out shade after only 3 washes. :(
