Am I doing something wrong?

Here is a fully contoured and highlighted face before blending. Think of Kim K. She always does it. But keep in mine that the areas that need highlighting and contouring are different for each face because each face is different. So you'll have to play with it to see what works. Light brings attention to something, dark draws attention away. I contour my own face, and I don't highlight. It's a more subtle look. And I don't go nearly as in depth as the pic. It's just an example.
