I'm really into special effects makeup lately and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for liquid latexes and fake bloods? :)

I have all Meron products at the moment but I will have to look into Ben Nye too :)
Have you used them before?

Yes, the line is HUGE lol so it's easy to get carried away. It's a personal preference like all make up but I find the products to be more readily accessible than most, easy to use and priced well. They make a lot of kits.
As far as special effects go they're pretty popular in the industry.

Monster Makers for latex, its the only thing I've ever used. And in my opinion its always best to make blood from scratch so it can be colored to what you need. Lighter blood for arterial sprays and darker for anything really deep and gorey or for a larger amount if its in a puddle or something. I am never satisfied with blood from any store. They either aren't colored correctly or don't have the right consistency. Look for Dick Smith's blood recipe. It can be made with things you can buy at a grocery store. I don't know if the info will be readily available online since I learned it at school. If you can't find it go to my profile and send me an email and I will type up the recipe for you as well as the recipe for gel blood :) its the only thing I'll use since I learned it. Being such a huge name in effects as Dick Smith is I would assume it's available online somewhere.

I really don't like mehron fake blood, it's pretty much identical to any $2 fake blood you can buy from a cheap store. They can't get the colour realistic enough and the constancy is usually too thin for most face looks.
Ben Nye aren't too bad, I always used their nose putty/modeling wax until I recently switched to Graftobian. (The bullet wound and bite mark pictures on my profile where created using Ben Nye)
