I'm think of getting a new hair cut and I want scene hair but I'm not sure if its still cute or in style. Any comments on this??

It's cute if your face can handle the cut, it wouldn't look good for me though

I don't think it's 'in style' anymore but tbh I never realised it was, it's supposed to be a statement of your individuality anyway lol. But yeah go for it, if you can keep up the style and you like it why not? Big hair is always sexy in my eyes tehe.

Agree with hazel! I personally don't care what's in, if I like it I'm going to get it! Lol plus you don't want to look like everyone else! I love scene hair! It's so pretty... What r you thinking? Just the cut or a color too?

I feel like its A style rather than something that can go in or out of style. And hazel is right, most girls that rock scene hair are bold and use it to express individuality. If you feel like you'd be confident with it then totally!

My hair used to be scene but trust me you will be growing it back out for years...

I used to have scene hair and loved it, very choppy , lots of short layers , lots of razoring and my hair is naturally blond and I had dyed it red and black at one point , at the time it was great but then when I decided I wanted a change I had to wait for the black to just grow out and the layers took years to grow out. I still have shortish layers now and that was 4 years ago :/

Not! being scene was so 2010. and tbh it makes you look ridiculous. I was a scene kid myself and I laugh at all my pictures back in '10
hahaha

And it also took me a year for the hair past my bust to thicken. cause you know, in the scene style girls like that part to be thinned out.

I didn't know the "scene" still existed... I thought it died in 2005. DEFINITELY dead.

Is that still a thing? I just think it looks silly.

It all depends on your preference do you want to stand out or be another face in the crowd.

You can definitely stand out in the crowd with a different hair style other than 'scene'. As someone who used to have scene hair, I agree with most of the above comments. It's taken me 4 years to grow my hair out/remove all the colors. Looking back on pictures, I see why people though of me as immature or they didn't take me seriously. I couldn't get employed at any respectable job with the 'scene' hair. All in all, just not a good, mature, respectable look. If you want to have some drastic short hair, try a chic asymmetrical bob with a subtle ombre, or a fabulous pixi cut. Both stand out in a crowd and scream respectable and unique and daring. Just throwing in my 2¢.

I personally love it. I've had scene hair since grade 8 and I'm almost finished grade 12. It been short, long, black, blonde, brown, red, purple, pink, green, you name it. I love it. Do what makes you happy. And if scene hair does that then all the power to you.

I've never understood that trend. To me it looks like most people got a really bad short haircut then through some extensions in to try & cover it up. I agree with Bailey. You can find a lot of great styles now that will help you stand out.

In my opinion, it's not very flattering or anything, and very very few people can pull it off.

But its all up to you(: if that's what you really want then go for it!

Personally not a fan! But it's your hair you have to be happy with it haha.

I'm going to be flat out, I had that hairstyle. its SO DAMMAGING! it takes so much upkeep, and its hard to find the happy medium length of layers back. if your hairdresser cuts the layers too short, you will seriously look like you have a mullet until it grows back out. the teasing (depending on how big you want your hair) is damaging either way, but if you look at a girl with a really big poof, you can seriously stick your hand through her hair to feel nothing but air. I would know, because I actually have. It takes a lot of heat and styling to keepit nice, plus a lot of product. the layers don't automatically fall into place and keep straight and hair often falls flat. It can be attractive, but not when its fried and over the top on the wrong person. just a warning.

I still love my colors, just don't go too out there. there's way more you can do with your hair :D.

I've been told I have scene hair. I don't try to be scene nor do I want to be scene. I just have the similar hairstyle.

Honestly, I love scene hair ( or whatever you wanna call it ). I had it at a very young age and I don't regret getting it at all! but now that I'm a lil older, sports has fell into my life. and I found that if I'm being active a lot, my hair is ALWAYS in my face. If I didnt love sports so much I would definatly cut my hair again. its so cute but you have to know what your doing to get it cut just right!
