Okay, so once I decided to deep condition my hair. I didn't have anything special so I just used olive oil. I left it in, then showered and shampooed. When my hair dried, I didnt even know it was dry because my hair was still soo oily and greasy. So I just tried it again, but I used less olive oil and mixed it with regular hair conditioner. I shampooed my hair like 2-3 times because it still felt greasy. Now, its half way dry and I have a different result. There's parts that are dry and frizzy but it still just doesnt feel clean. It feels dirty. What am I doing wrong? I can't tell if it's washed out or not in the shower, so idk??

Since water and oil don't mix it's just making the oil more and more so larger with shampoo before you wet the hair.

If that doesn't help, use a gentle dish detergent like dawn with Olay. gets the grease out without drying Ur hair further...

Btw if you are using a moisturizing or smoothing shampoo, you r just making the problem worse. don't use anything that has silicones in it either.

Well since I use the same method for my hair since its bleached, use a good clairifying shampoo to strip the olive oil out. Try using a regular conditioner if your worried so much, just dampen your hair and massage it in. leave it in for 30 mins. Use it perhaps twice a week if you can't get a good deep conditioning conditioner. I say buy Aussie's 3 min conditioning treatment. Works great for me. Hopefully it can do the same :)

I would suggest not using olive oil and try coconut oil or argon oil. Don't use a harsh shampoo after because it'll defeat the whole purpose of the deep condition. Also you want to apply the product to your roots to tips. Don't add so much to the tips of your hair.

I do an egg, 1 tbsp of honey, and olive oil. I mix it together and put it on my hair. I have curly dry hair so I do this like once or twice a month. but just try it once and see if it works. if your still greasy then don't use as much (or at all) olive oil.

What I recommend is to wash your hands after you shampoo and rinse your hair so the oil is off your hands. Then feel around your scalp away from the water. If you pay attention, the oil feels different on your fingertips compared to the water. Then shampoo the parts that are still oily. I do this. Lol. Mayonnaise stinks, but makes the hair very soft and silky. I use it on my hair. You can apply it then leave it in for about 30 min. Shampoo it out and you will feel a difference after one use.
