E.l.f. is one of my favourite makeupbrands and I've been wanting to start this thread for a while now. So let's talk about e.l.f :-)

What are your favourite products from e.l.f?
Which do you hate?

I just recently got into makeup and decided to not spend a bunch of money on stuff I wasn't sure I'd like! I love e.l.f because it's so affordable. I have the stipple brush, blush brush, concealer brush, powder brush, blush, primer and face mist. I love them all but the blush (way too glittery). Overall, I'll definitely be buying from them again.

I have a few eyeshadows, brushes, eye primer (s) and the wet gloss for lash & brow. I really like the eyeshadows, the eye primer & the wet gloss for brow. I dont care for the 2 in 1 primer and liner seal. (didnt work for me) I've really been wanting to try the blushes and some lip products (:

Christine S.: You can try an eyeshadow primer (e.l.f. has one ;)). But I have heard that those eyeshadows creases like h*ll, so I don't know if anything could stop them from creasing, sorry.

Products I love: Flawless concealer brush, Matte lipstick, and the Jumbo Lip gloss stick!
I've ordered from e.l.f a few times now and I've found it to be kind of hit and miss with their products, sometimes they work great and other times the quality is horrible!

I really like the studio blushes and their studio line brushes. The eye shadows can be hit or miss, some are pigmented and not too powdery, others are chalky messes. I'm using their HD powder right now, but don't totally love it (I don't really notice any effect different than any other powder...nice for the price though). I really want to try the baked blushes!

What are your favourite products from e.l.f? from the studio line: sterile brush cleaner spray, powder brush (I have a few of these to apply my foundation/powder/bronzer), contour/blush brush, & all of the eyeshadow brushes. The four three things I use daily from e.l.f are also my favorites, those are: the mineral infused serum primer (I use this daily! I love this stuff it works so good and to me is compareable to the smashbox photo finish primer), mineralized body glow bronzer in bronze, and the contour kit in St. Lucia (but I'm dying to find the Antiqua one!).
Which do you hate? The elf mist and set finishing spray-it works but it smells terrible- yuck yuck yuck!! their glossy gloss lipgloss is terrible too it has a brush tip which I personally don't like on lipglosses and its too sticky and the colors are wayyy darker than they looked like online, and the mineral line's high definition white powder - there's nothing wrong with it, it works fine but it's just kind of pointless to me I know what it's used for but I just think it was kind of a waste of money because it doesn't work like I wanted it to- so I'm glad it was only $6 haha.. Also I don't have any of the essentials brushes but I wouldn't suggest you buying them , they're so cheap and coarse and fall apart after cleaning! And lastly, their concealer/highlighter combo the highlighter works really good and is perfect consistancy and color but the concealer is terrible, cakey, and is way too thick and gets crusty/flakey on your skin.
Have you tried some of their new products? I use the lip exfoilator daily it smells so good and works really really really well and for the price this is- if you have dry lips like me, this really helps make them look flawless and lipstick set without creases. The daily moisture stick is really gross too it smells weird like plastic almost and isn't greasy but it stays wet on your skin too long it's like it never dries, I don't know how to explain it really I just didn't like how it felt and stayed on my skin. I also have the limited edition mini eyeshadow palette in natural and I really like it, although the pigment of the shadows aren't as heavy as I'd like, for the price you can't really complain. Plus this is great for filing in my brows or contouring because there are some matte light-dark brown colors in it. Lastly, the cream eyeliner with brush, I have it in black, and it works really well and stays on all day & dries pretty quick, and doesn't flake like some others do.
How many of their products do you have? really too many... I bought a lot of e.l.f stuff a while ago and am still experiencing/just now opening most of it.
What are your favourite lip products, eye products and face product? I don't have any of their lipsticks- I can't find them in any stores, but I really like their colors. My favorite lip product right now though is the lip plump/primer. Eye product- the cream liner and face product- the mineral primer
Which line is your favourite (essentials, studio, mineral)? No question about it, the studio line. The mineral line has some stuff- but I'm not really into mineral powder foundations and stuff.

But all in all, I like e.l.f I just really think it's a hit or miss type of thing and that it's a trial and error process to see what products would work with your skin, but I also really do believe you get what you pay for- so remember that when buying some of their products :/ However don't get discouraged because they do have some really good products for the price! I just wish that they had more of a selection as for colors, and I guess more popular colors- more nudes (especially in the lipcolors), smokey colors, bronze colors, and even bright colors. As well as, shimmer/sparkles in the RIGHT products- not the blushes and bronzers, but more in the eyeshadows and eyeliner- with again, a better color range maybe? I also wish that e.l.f would look into doing a line of pigments like NYX or mac colors- that would be awesome! All in all though, this is a great start off brand, but reguardless if you're starting out or not there are a few staple products that you shouldn't skimp on (in my opinion) like eyeshadows, foundation/concealers, setting powder/powder foundation, and mascara- those are just some things that you can find great products in drugstore brands which aren't too much more than most elf products, and so worth the quality difference!! :)
