Split ends - they won't go away!

Yesterday morning I went to get my split ends chopped by the hairdresser. Once she had finished my hair looked smooth, shiny and practically split end free. I was so happy. I went the whole day with my hair looking great. Then, I wake up this morning and my hair feels dry, and many split ends are now visible again.
Since the haircut I hadn't straightened, washed or put any heat on my hair. I hadn't tied it up or put any products on it. How come suddenly they all seem to look just as bad as they did before the cut?
I'm so confused on how this has happened. Any suggestions?

Your hair has probably been weakened, make sure you use moisturizing conditioners and trim split ends off as soon as you see them. Pro naturals argan oil on your ends works really well, I haven't had any split ends since I started using it.

Melissa is right- but you should really only cut your hair once a month there really isn't a need for anything more than that, but your hair probably did weaken or just being in outside in whatever climate you live in can be damaging/take a toll on your hair. Also did they cut your hair wet or dry? That does make a difference, because when your hair is dry the cuticle is closed, and opening it up with heat (like hott/warm water, flat irons, blowdryers, etc) can make your hair look more damaged. I would suggest to having your hair cut when it's dry and styled to how you style it normally to get the best results, it works the best for me (also hair shrinks when it's wet). But honestly sleeping on your hair could've even just roughed it up, or your hair soaked up the products that they did use. Two amazing products I would recommend are: Keratin Oil Spray strengthening leave in mist by fx (http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?skuId=2249697&productId=xlsImpprod4580007&navAction=push&navCount=1&categoryId=cat1050001) and nexxus pro mend split end binding leave in treatment creme (http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod2910029)
both of these are really affordable and have done wonders to my damaged bleached split ends/hair. I would also say you should try using a protein filler every week- or every other week depending on your hair's damage, and this will help put back the protien in your hair to give it strength and bond the cuticle back together; but be careful because too much protein can have the opposite effects.
This one needs heat, but works very well:

This one doesn't need heat, and leave in on for about 40 mins to an hour, and both the neutral and colored ones are the same it just depends if you want to add or spruce up your color(if it's dyed you might want to):

Hope that helps :)

Thank you both so much!
@Amanda your answer was brilliant. You've given me some great information and I will definitely try out the products you suggested.
Oh and my hair was cut when it was wet, so I guess that definitely could be why, as you said
Thanks again. x

You're welcome! I'm glad I could help! :) Let me know if you need anything else!
