I love both, but not at the same time. Unfortunately I have scarring that has destroyed my bottom lip line, so lipstick takes a lot of work to look good on me. I always do bold eyes. :)

I like bold lips but not funky. Like taking a color a bit darker than my natural lip color and then defining my lips with that.

I love both! But whichever you do make sure the opposite is subtle eg Smokey eyes and a light pink or Bright red lips and beige eyeshadow. Remember one of them has to stand out
