Okie, so I got a perm a month ago and after the first day it went down. It takes sooooo longg to try to scrunch it up. When I get out the shower I scrunch my hair with no product but even if I do put in product it doesn't actually curl anymore! What the heck happened?!!:(

For starters, I hope you didn't wash the next day!
You have to give it minimum 48 hours for the chemicals to set! (note: I also hope this was a professionally done perm.. not gonna discuss diy jobs, ugh). And please don't try to do it again. Whether the curl lasted or not (and this goes for all permanent hair applications such as coloring, curling, straightening, whatever!) Just because the intended result fades or doesn't last doesn't mean your hair is back to normal! A permanent chemical alteration is just that.. Permanent! Results will fade but your hair structure (that it was applied to, not the new growth!) is forever changed so adding more chemicals on top will at minimum skew results and at worst very seriously damage hair. :D

Its weird. I guess perms work different for different types of hair. My hair is kinda frizzy and very thick. So perms make my hair straight (after pressing it,it really shows the results). Idk why yours is having problems with being curly if its always been curly..

you may have to wait a while before your curls return.
