How can I do a good winged liner??

I don't know if I should use gel liner or liquid, and I have no idea what brush to use! My line is always messy and uneven and it always looks too thick! HELP!

try using a felt tip liner and tape. i use Jordana fabuliner from the drug store and tape and it looks great!
