Folic acid* and all folic acid is, is a b vitamin. Honestly where are these studies? People need to stop using their google degree.

It is growing, don't worry, II grows half an inch a month, and I know it can be fustrating! just give it tlc, condition, treat it, avoid any heating tools and minimise colouring if you can, also take a multivitamin and omega 3 supplements, that will make it healthier and will help with hair growth too. :)

I had the same problem a while ago. I was getting regular trims as people said it makes you're hair grow faster, but it just wasn't growing! I eventually started to get fed up with it, so I decided to get trims less often. A few months on and I have definitely noticed a difference in length. Obviously don't leave it too long, so that split ends don't get too bad.

Also try and avoid using too much heat on your hair, and use conditioning treatments etc.

Good luck with the hair growing! :)

I am not using a "google degree". And here are two layperson's articles with medical professionals directing people not to take prenatal vitamins outside of pregnancy: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/prenatal-vitamins/AN01665 http://www.cosmopolitan.com/celebrity/news/prenatal-vitamins (Yes Cosmopolitan is not the best source, but they have comments from a medical doctor and it is a popular periodical that many women read.)

I cannot link to specific journal articles because they require subscription access (which I receive through my university) but there are articles in medical journals with more detailed analysis.

I do not contribute hearsay without having something to back me up. I even mentioned in my original comment that people should see a doctor before taking any supplements. Do not say that I am not contributing to these boards, when I am using scientific evidence to back me up rather than listing old wives' tales and anecdotes as fact.

@Kelsi Z.: Sounds like you need to... put your left foot in, then put your left foot out... then put your left foot in and shake it all about... and do the hokey pokey.

Eating healthier and taking biotin but booting does counteract birth control so if you are on birth control and you take biotin you will get pregnant.
