what would you say is the hardest part of being a hair stylist? I am thinking about attending school for it and am curious

I am finishing up with school now. I would say the making sure you know exactly what the client wants. Sometimes they don't know/undecided so this part is very important. And color corrections because you have to understand color theory.

I think the hardest part is client retention. There is alot compention with clientele always trying to match or meet services and prices for that matter

Thanks guys! what about the licensing part, was the test hard and if you get certified in a state if your to move to a different state do you just transfer over or retake test??

If the hours required are the same in both states you just pay a fee that varies by state but if the hours required are different you have to go back to school accumulate the remainder of the required hours and retake your state boards.
