I'm pretty clueless when it comes to brushes since I never thought the type of brush i used mattered, but I'm starting to get that it makes a pretty big difference! I think I technically use a blush brush to put on my foundation, and it makes it looks streaky...and I used to use my fingers but I hated getting it all over my hands. I feel dumb asking this but what does a foundation brush look like? At sephora the guy that helped me said I should use a stippling brush but I don't know what that is eitherrrr...:/ help please?

Synthetic bristles are what you use for foundation. They are generally straight and tightly packed as opposed to fluffy. They are the most paintbrush like and spread liquid well. A dual fiber/stipple brush comes synthetic and natural to spread well and the natural bristles closer to the base buff out streaks leaving a really smooth finish. If you use a fluffy brush, the brush well become soggy and likely give you little control.

Check e.l.f. out! I think that you will love their brushes! Go to their website ( www.eyeslipsface.com ) and look under "Studio Line" :-) Really cheap and really good :-)

Thank y'all so much for your explanations and suggestions! But can someone put up pictures of the type of brush I'm looking for? I'm still a little confused...

Look up 'stipple brush" and "flat top brush". These would be the best when applying foundation as far as an even coverage and airbrushed look goes.

ever hear about the beauty blender amazing for liquid foundation you just have to wet it , it will expend twice its size and apply your foundation with it. Plus you get hydration cells so you r not dehydrated because of the thickness of the foundation

MUA brushes are really good! They are all priced between £1-£2. They have every kind of brush you might need and they are really good quality.
