How to get rid of black hair?

I've been dying my hair black for over 5 years now and I really want to switch it up even just my adding some caramel pieces. Any ideas of how I can do this without going to the salon?

Go to a proper salon or else u will end up burning ur hair

It's very hard to go fron dark to light hair without bleaching your hair, and I suggest that you get it done at a salon or you might get bright orange clown hair.
