I've noticed that my hair has broken off in the front and in the middle of head. What can I do about it and use on my hair? Thanks!

Are you natural, relaxed, texlaxed, or transitioning? What hair products do you use? What style do you normally wear your hair in? These things will just help me understand exactly so I can help has much as possible.

I'm natural, haven't relaxed my hair in 6 years. I usually straighten my hair and sometimes wear it natural. I use Carol's Daughters products and started using organic coconut oil. I usually wear my hair out but have to put it up most of the time because my son loves to pull my hair for some reason lol! I did color it sometime last year

I can say really limit your heat usage. I would press my hair at least once a week and my hair broke off horribly. You should just wear your hair in a loose bun or a braided bun or something where your ends are protected and not exposed. Your hair maybe damaged from your son pulling it or from the hair color also. I would just say to develop a hair regimen and keep a hair journal about what you do to your hair and when and what you use. I'm on a hair journey to get healthier longer hair. I shampoo my hair once a week and deep condition for about 30 minutes right after I shampoo. I apply my Cantu Shea Butter leave-in conditioner then I seal with extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, and vitamin E oil mixed together. I mostly bun my hair or put it in one or two braids or I rarely do a braid out. And make sure you get a trim to get rid of any breakage and/or split ends so you can start fresh.

Another thing too, how do you do your hair at bedtime? If your not sleeping with a satin or silk bonnet or scarf then your hair could be breaking from your cotton pillow case. If you don't want to sleep in any of that then just get a satin or silk pillow case to sleep on.

Thanks LaPorsha! When my hair is straight, I wrap it and wear a satin scarf and when its natural, its braided loosely or twisted in a satin scarf. How do you seal your ends exactly?

After you wash and condition your hair, gently part your hair in four sections and then section each of those sections in half. Apply a leave-in or moisturizer of your choice to each section from end to root. Then take any oil of your choice and put onto each section after the leave-in or moisturizer. I then braid each section and tie my hair up in my scarf to let it air dry. I do this every other night or whenever my hair feels dry. You can dampen your hair before you moisturize and seal if you want but you necessarily don't have to. This just keeps your scalp and ends moisturized to prevent breakage. Also, check how your tying your scarf. Maybe where the knot is its rubbing on your hair and creating the breakage thats in the front. Hope this helps! Sorry for being long-winded lol
