Shower Filter - Thoughts?

I kept my hair red for about 5 years and then tried to go back to my natural blonde...after maybe 6 years of that (with the occasional brown in between) I've concluded that I always liked my hair best as a redhead.

It's a pain to maintain though, so I'm thinking of investing in a shower filter like this one to help out in addition to the usual methods of color-preservation:

Any thoughts on this? Has anyone tried it or something similar?

I have been as well. Maybe it won't leave my hair and face so greasy yuck!
