Shimmers wore off on me and didn't show
Sad how many good reviews showed up for this Paris Nudes palette. I could hardly get the shimmers to show up on my lids, and I had to work really hard to get any pay off. I even tried different primers to make them work and last. By 1-2 hours later, they had completely faded. Maybe it has to do with this color story not showing up on my medium/tan skin tone. I have no problems with Viseart shimmers in the edit palettes.
The best
The quality of these eyeshadows is so high, they are so smooth and buttery, can't even describe it. The Paris Nudes have various degrees of shine from satin to a metallic shimmer. The colors are pretty neutral and versatile. Blend like a dream and last forever without an eye primer, I just use my foundation to prime my eyes. I absolutely love it and want to get more of these Viseart eye palettes
What happened???
I'm giving two stars rather than one because, while #5 Sultry Muse and #6 Paris Nudes were SO disappointing, I did like #1 Neutral Mattes. Nonetheless, I ended up returning them all because I just felt like the quality didn't reflect the price. While some of the Make Up Geek and ABH options can be hit or miss, and perhaps have too much pigment (i.e. fallout), I'd rather pay $40 for 8-12 shadows that have great color payoff and easy blendability versus these shadows, which were MUCH more sheer than I expected or would ever want, and turned totally muddy when blended. The Paris Nudes was the worst, while the Neutral Mattes had a few great shadows....but if I'm going to spend this kind of money on a palette, I want every shadow to be great. Furthermore, I didn't really feel like Neutral Mattes could stand alone. I'd like a palette with mattes and shimmer shades - so some combination of the three palettes I bought would have been good...if they actually had good color payoff. Bummer.
I love the colors a lot...
I love the colors & only wish it had one really dark color for contrast. so easy to grab for travel without taking tons of makeup. I like it much better than the other pallette I bought which I find does not have enough light colors
Perfect for the everyday person
Like the title says, I think this palette is perfect for the everyday person, although it is all varying degrees of shine--satin to a more metallic shimmer. I'm personally not a fan of all shimmers on my eyes, so it's mandatory (for me) to have some mattes to mix in there! I feel that the packaging is quite sleek and sturdy, so I don't mind pulling mattes from my other Viseart palettes. If you do enjoy all shimmers, though, knock yourself out! The colors in here pair beautifully. :) Just a side note--the shadows in here and all the other 12 pan Viseart palettes (I don't own any others, so I can't speak to those) do pop out if you want to put them in some sort of magnetic palette. The black tray that holds all the shadows pops out if you push on the back of the palette, and once you flip over the plastic tray, you see a little hole for each pan to poke something small, like a pin, into and pop the eyeshadow out.
Wonderful Shadows
I own 2 Viseart palettes and they are just beautiful. The pigmentation is great and they blend like a dream. They are a bit costly but well worth it as I can see them lasting a long time. The pigmentation of these shadows is so good that you don't need much on your brush to get the outcome you are looking for. I don't regret purchasing these in any way.
Gorgeous!
I got this from IMATS and it's super awesome. Everything is gorgeously pigmented and blends easily. I like how everything is handpressed. I wasn't expecting it to be so warm based on some of the pictures of the product, but I still really like it.
I'm planning on picking up some more Viseart palettes in the future - cool mattes and neutral mattes are on the top of my wishlist.
