Better for oily skin
I can imagine this would be superb for oily skin. I unfortunately have dry skin so it makes my face feel like soooo tight and even made me peel twice. If you have oily skin...you need this...if you have dry skin..please dont be like me and read the descriptions better. I should've gotten one of their other primers. Bottomline . I regret this purchase
Good Stuff and Plenty; I Approve...
I do not have an aversion to silicones, quite the opposite. If you dislike silicone, move on. Personally, I look for a texture similar to that iconic Smashbox item. I love smooth, softening, properly formulated silicone-based primers and this is exactly that!
As others have said, use too much and you'll be overwhelmed. Luckily, it has a quick set-time so excercise a little patience and you're ready to begin.
It certainly does what it says - For the record, I slept in makeup and woke up shocked to see my previous application looking halfway decent. Almost unbelievable that I was still wearing my powder foundation after a romp and a snooze ;)
Regarding the -1, no 'blur' or silica microsphere or luminescence effect. There's no OMG or bonus factor, here. Perhaps it was my folly in choosing the wrong primer in their line - and I do plan to try the others. However, with the size of this bottle, I am good on primer for the rest of the season.. but that's nothing to complain about!
I have sensitive/dry skin and since moving to Florida from NY two years ago, I’ve had to make several adjustments in my skincare routine. I am not big on primers because I do not feel like they deliver the results one is looking for. I’d like a smooth base that helps smooths and fills my pores . I decided to try the primer since I did not have one and wanted to see if it worked. First, don’t use too much, a little goes a long way for a smooth base. Using too much will have you feeling very greasy. After applying my foundation, I did notice less pores which was very exciting for me. I applied a light layer of foundation and has a dewy finish. My face was smooth from 6:30am to 2:00pm. I noticed the makeup kind of coming off around 2:00pm…but please remember I have work in an office in a warehouse in SUNNY FLORIDA. I give this a two thumbs up and recommend for anyone with sensitive skin/dry skin.
Wow...
Let me start off by saying there are a lot of primers out there and as a professional makeup artist I’ve tried most of them. Now let me tell you about the primer that I wore on my wedding day... As a pro MUA the number one question I got asked during wedding planning was “who is doing your makeup?” My answer was “me!” And then they wanted to know everything I planned on using on my wedding day. The minute I tried this primer and saw my foundation on over it I knew this was the primer I was going to get married in. My skin looked incredible and all my pores and texture were immediately smoothed and filled in. The Satin Veil Primer turned my 40 something year old skin into the perfect canvas. My makeup was flawless all day, held up in the weather and emotions of the day and still looked beautiful when I washed my face that night. Take it from me...this will be your new makeup BFF!!!!
