I LOVE Jeffree Star and all the products I’ve ever ordered from JSC & this concealer was no different! It’s a little lighter then expected but still works for me, I bought a few shades so I mix them, but when I’m going for full glam I use c14 alone and it gives me that bright highlighted under eye look I love! Thanks Jeffree for making a bomb concealer, and thanks Beautylish for being such an awesome shipping company! P.S. I love getting a little surprise sample with my order, makes receiving my order that much more exciting! 💜

Great

I really love the finish of this concealer. It’s not as full coverage as I would like but I make it work. Only thing I would point out is, at least on me, it looks really yellow so better swatch it in store to make sure you are comfortable with the shade/s you choose!

so smooth & easy to blend. high coverage, not too dry. it doesn't transfer and get caked after setting under my eye. can't love more!

Amazing concealer

I bought this concealer in C14 and I am around an NC35-NC40 in MAC. For me, this concealer was perfect in regards to the shade. I’d say as a concealer, the C14 is around a MAC NC25 which is perfect for brightening and highlighting. I also bought C10 when I need extra brightening under the eye and mix C10 and C14 together. The texture is creamy, and the concealer is lightweight and blends like a dream. I have extremely dry skin and this does not look dry under my eyes or caked. It is (for me) pretty full coverage however this may depend on how bad ones dark circles are.

Absolutely loved the product and can’t wait to try the powder when it comes 😊 xxx

shade range is off a bit..

I can't Express enough how excited I was for this launch! I had 5 different sites up to ensure my order lol however, I'm extremely glad i ordered numerous shades as they seem to be off a bit.. lighter than expected. Originally i thought I'd be in the c5-9 range.. I was wrong. I'm closer to the c11-13 range. My suggestion to anyone that makes this purchase is to go to the store and do some shade matching to get your correct shade. On to the formula, it's definitely a badass formula.. very buildable BUT be sure to pat it out one last time before you set it. The powder has the most delicious (nonoverbaring)scent! I most definitely recommend this product!

A little bummed

I LOVE Jeffree and anything he has ever put out. I had to try this out in different ways over about a week before I saw a result I liked.

The pros: The product itself is beautiful. I’m leaning towards olive but normally olive undertone products look greenish on me, so I get “Golden” undertones. I got C14 since tan may have been too dark and was nervous about the concealer being too yellow, and it is VERY yellow, but luckily blended out and set with foundation it looks good. It’s VERY brightening, may almost be a bit light but the color does fit. I’m medium sand in Tarte Shape Tape for reference. It’s creamy upon applying and you don’t need to use too much of it.

The cons: This concealer is very drying. My undereye and lid area are not dry, my skin is pretty normal, so I was a little surprised to see that it had caked up so badly trying it initially. I had reverse raccoon eyes if that makes sense? Just caked up yellow and it had settled into my lines, and the product that settled was completely gone so I just had these huge creases mixed with dryness. I was disappointed but wanted to keep working with it.

How I made it work: The first time I used it I put on an eye cream on, hydrating primer, then the concealer, then my powder foundation. That did not look good. Second time, I did the same prepping, used the concealer then my regular liquid foundation, then baked the concealer with the Magic Star setting powder (Topaz). It looked better longer... but still eventually settled into creases badly and looked mega cakey. Third day, I mixed the concealer with CoverFX Power Play and it was better, not as drying. Fourth day, I applied a dewy liquid foundation under my eyes, some of the CoverFX concealer, then topped it with the Magic Star concealer and highlighted with it. THAT cracked the code. Next day dewy foundation and little Magic Star. It was okay.

So, I’ll have to mix this concealer probably with something more hydrating, but it does brighten more than most of my other concealers so I’m okay with it as a second step. It is thinner than expected... it didn’t cover up the dark circles right away despite it being brightening if that makes sense? I still think it’s a good concealer and it’ll probably work great for some people. I love that Jeffree puts so much effort into making his products the best quality which it is. It’s just very matte and can be hard to figure out what works for you!

Lighter than I expected, but A+ packaging!

The official description for the shade I ordered (C14) is medium with yellow undertones, but I've gotta be honest - this is actually closer to the light category.

As someone with "medium"-ish skin tone (NC30-ish) with tons of other products within "medium" ranges, C14 stands out as alarmingly pale in comparison. I had hoped that maybe the swatches I had seen online were simply appearing to be lighter than they really were in person, but they're actually pretty close now that I can swatch it on myself and compare it side by side to photos online. It's hard to gauge how a shade might look on you when you're seeing it swatched on someone else with a totally different skin tone, though. Keep that in mind if you're musing over which shade to get!

However, this shade does work okay on me for brightening under my eyes. It looks crazy when I first apply, but it looks pretty good after it's been blended out thoroughly and set. I don't use very much, just a couple of dabs under each eye, so the small amount of product doesn't bother me, and honestly, I view the packaging of it as more like a collector's item. If you're one of those folks who like to conceal half the face for a full coverage look, though, there are more cost-effective alternatives out there instead of this one that will also perform well (i.e., Shape Tape).

I swatched Magic Star and Shape Tape on my arm (and a couple others - MUFE and Amazing Cosmetics) to see how long-lasting they'd be, and at the end of the day, Magic Star and Shape Tape stuck around in full force, even after scrubbing at them with soapy water multiple times that day. On my face, there was a bit of creasing and settling into my fine lines under my eyes, but every single concealer I've ever tried has done that - it's just how my skin is, even with setting powder and setting spray. I will say that it wasn't as noticeable with Magic Star (and Shape Tape), though.

Overall, it's a good product! Just a little tougher to tone-match online. The packaging is sooo cute; I don't personally find it cheap-feeling. I don't think I'll repurchase, though. I've got my one for my collection, so now I can turn to cheaper concealers in the future that are just as good.
