Pretty but Plastic

I collect different types of compacts and wanted to try this brand. It’s reasonably well made, but unlike other reusable compacts there’s no magnet or way to snap a refill in. Instead this brand relies on you removing a sticker that’s on the bottom of your pan and sticking it down. So once the pan is in, it’s in. If you like to switch up the compact you use before the product is finished this might not be for you. Also worth noting, I’d strongly recommend keeping the puff it comes with in the compact if you plan to take this with you. Since the pan is only stuck in with a little doubled sided tape, it could come loose and break. The puff will keep it in place.

If you want to add an adhesive magnetic sheet this compact is definitely deep enough. There’s a slot instead of pinhole so you can get the pan out. I like that since sometimes finding something thin, long, and sturdy enough to pop the pan out is a challenge. With this use a palette knife or even a coin. It also makes it easier to cut a sheet of magnet to fit and not cover the removal spot.

All in all, I recommend this compact. It’s plastic and very lightweight. I generally prefer something a bit sturdier. But it’s so well done I don’t mind.
