I wasn't really a fan of this product until I learned how to best apply it to my skin. For me, using a damp sponge works for fast and easy application without looking "dead face." I also like to use the e.l.f. flat top brush to quickly get the job done. It does have a paint smell to it which my husband says, "your face smells like a crayon." (I don't think it's that bad) Overall, this product gives medium to full coverage, has a variety of colors, and can withstand humid climates. Bummer: it doesn't have a pump...so start off with a little and apply more if needed. Try it! If you hate it..return it.
I have pretty good skin, with some dark areas from past acne scars..I wouldn't say this is for that type of coverage. I personally LOVE this product. I use the concealer on days where I just need to lively up my eyes. It's defiantly not what you would want to use if you have a severe blemish, but it's good for the mornings where you could have used an extra 2 hours of sleep. The highlighter is the star in my book when it comes to this "twofer." I use it to brighten up everything! (inner corners of the eyes, top of the cheeks, cupid's bow..why not?) I think application is always key when it comes to make up...it's not going to fix your skin, it's just a great thing to have when you need to touch up or get out the door quickly with minimal effort.
I love this little guy. I even purchased a couple of them, just for fun. Your local target carries them now and it's only $3. I use it to apply my liquid foundation. It does a great job at buffing in the color and giving it that flawless finish. It's soft, does the job, affordable, and it comes with a little plastic cover to keep your brush in shape. Just buy one!..or 2 or 3 <3
I like mixing my blush. The one provided here gives a really soft effect and the shimmer adds a touch of glow to the cheeks. I like to put it on top of another blush, or even use it for the "appropriate gym look." <--when you want to have a little something when you go to the gym without looking like you came from a photo shoot. Overall, you won't feel bad for spending $3 on a decent blush and a workable contour color. (apply with a light hand)
