I bought this while looking for the perfect coral gloss, and while it really isn't "it," it is fabulous. Rather than just lending a sheer wash of colour to lips, it leaves a rather opaque creme. Also, rather than coral, 3 reads more orange--which is fine by me!
My favourite thing about this gloss is the fact that it smells and feels amazing. Remember those mint-wafer cookies your grandmother used to put out? It smells like that--a cool vanilla mint. The mint also makes it cooling and refreshing on the lips.
It is a little easy to overapply, and it can collect in the corners of your mouth uncomfortably if this happens. Also a little difficult to layer over lipsticks, maybe because of the formula. I've found it seems to aggravate peeling when layered.
Not sure why everyone hates Too Faced mascaras so much. I love this one, especially when used with the regular sized Lash Injection. Perfect size for bottom lashes, and great for making upper lashes even more intense when larger brushes can't reach the inner or outermost corners.
Admittedly, it does smell really bad. Like sharpie markers, or dry erase markers, or some sort of marker in general. But the smell doesn't stick around any longer than the applicator, so once you close up the tube, you're done with it! Not enough of a bother to not use the product at all.
Love love love this product. It applies easily, feels silky, and does not seem to be drying. I've worn this product through dinner dates, club events, and concerts with no problems.
However, it can peel. I don't know what triggers the peeling, but every once in a while, the colour will come off in little beads and strips, which looks funny and feels even stranger. Might have something to do with not waiting until the base is dry before applying the top coat? Or waiting too long? Haven't quite figured it out, but infrequent enough not to be a bother.
I received this as part of a gift a few years ago. To be honest, for a drugstore brand, I was fairly impressed. The shadows themselves are well-pigmented, pearly, and very blendable. Makes a smokey-eye a piece of cake, even if you're not entire sure what you're doing.
I'm not a huge fan of the shape, however, as it's difficult to load a brush on the "sticks" of shadow. It's also a little hard to grab only one colour at a time.
As it promises, this stain sticks on lips for hours at a time and won't smear upon eating or drinking. It's easy to apply thanks to the big felt marker-tip.
I find this kind of tacky without a gloss over the top. Definitely felt like it dried out my lips a bit, and I felt like my lips were sticking together if worn alone. Not entirely thrilled with the colour range available, either. But if you're looking for a cheaper lipstain, or need long-lasting colour in a pinch, not a terrible buy at all.
This is my favourite foundation ever. When used with a primer, I can safely apply before work in the mornings and still look fresh-faced come 9PM. Coverage is pretty nice, but if you have any darkly pigmented spots or blemishes, you might need to build some coverage over it.
Because this is a two-step process for me (primer, then this, all brushed on and blended), it's a little more time-consuming than I'd like in a foundation. But if you're willing to spend five extra minutes on your face each morning, it really is worth it. I've also heard that this runs a wee bit darker than normal MAC shades: considering I wore an NW20 in Studiofix during the summer, and continue to wear NW20 in ProLongwear throughout the fall and into the winter, I have to wonder myself.
The formula is smooth, non-sticky, and light. I love love love my Eric, which is a nice sheer red. I later bought Max, which is a light peachy shade, and I didn't like the opacity of it: it tended to sink into the creases of my lips, and if I didn't exfoliate first it showed a lot of flaws.
I like the tube, it slips neatly into pockets and purses, and the brush is lovely. But. I HATE the smell. The best comparison I can make is a box of breakfast cereal, like frosted flakes or something. Maybe the pheromones put me off, who knows. If that smell was changed, I'd gladly give five stars.
I love the fact that this product comes in a veritable rainbow of colours. I've purchased in Radium, Ecstasy, and a discontinued copper colour which I loved. Like the description says, it does last forever, does not transfer, and the applicator is easy to hold. It does, however, take a little while to dry, so if you're prone to smearing your liquid liner, it can happen. I'm also not really a fan of the brush-tip, since I don't feel like I can get a thin enough line without use of another brush: it can hold a little too much, and sometimes, the bristles can crimp.
Okay, it does go on smoothly. I'll give it that. It's also a nice red colour, and everyone knows I'm a sucker for reds.
But. I didn't see any significant colour-change that would indicate to me that it does what it says. Granted, I don't know anyone else who's tried it, so I can't say for sure. Also didn't think it was particularly moisturizing, but I have dry barren desert lips, so I might not be the best judge.
