Lovely gel-based primer with great oil control
This N/O primer pairs well with my Kevin Aucoin foundations - got both the SSE and the SSF. It's got a serum gel-like consistency and is absorbed beautifully by my skin, leaving a semi-matte feel. Has great oil-control for several hours. It's comparable with the Natasha Denona Magic Primer Anti-Shine Flawless Face Base. I prefer these 2 primers over the MUFE Step 1 Skin Finisher primer, since even though the MUFE would initially leave a very matte finish, there was always the sensation of a layer of product on my skin and the oil control would only last for few hours.
I also use the Primed Skin Developer to dilute and thin out my SSE foundation before application. I use the ND Magic Primer to initially prime my skin before using the KA primer/SSE blend. This combo really gives fantastic oil control with full coverage but it still looks natural without a heavy cakey foundation look.
Will definitely be re-ordering despite the pen click delivery mechanism
I've already written a review under the shade #6 Medium. Beautylish matched me perfectly :)

#6 Medium - MAC Studio Finish NW35 #7 Deep Medium - MAC Studio Finish NW40
I've used my MAC for years, great product but it would still crease and fade after a while. Hence I'm now switching over to the Retoucher, loving it!
5 stars for the concealer product, 4 stars for the pen click delivery mechanism.
Divine lightweight concealer
A divine liquid concealer that comes in those pens that you twist + click. Very light weight, blends easily and has great longegivity. Love the coverage, it doesn't crease after setting it with powder and there's a great range of shades. I got matched perfectly after emailing the Beautylish Team.
Cons: the click mechanism. Sometimes too much product comes out so I twist + wait, then twist + wait again to avoid a large blob of concealer coming out. Not great if you're in a rush in the morning! I don't like using the pen brush with the product directly onto my skin - I prefer to take some product with another brush to apply, simply to keep the pen brush "clean" and avoid it from picking up my skin's natural oils.
My skin tone: Medium-deep. Foundation colour references: MAC NC43.5/Kevin Aucoin SSE SX11/KASSF SF08/Natasha Denona Glow #75/ND Phenomattic Flawless Texture #7 Medium-Dark Bisque. I use the shade #6 Medium for under my eyes and the #7 Deep Medium for chin and around my mouth, after colour correcting. It stays put the whole day :) Excellent coverage!
The only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because of the pen click mechanism and it's propensity for too much product to come out. But definitely re-ordering :)
Beautiful rich deep burgundy red
My skin is a medium-deep shade and the Bloodroses lip gloss colour really compliments my skin tone. The gloss is sticky but smooth and the colour pay off is excellent, I don't feel the need to use a lip pencil underneath. Reasonable longegivity until I wipe my lips. I'll be wearing this shade throughout the winter :)
Easy smooth application - my new HG eye liner pencil
Just wrote a review, made a typo in the "quick take" section but accidentally posted it :) don't know how to edit precious review's typo, sorry!
Easy smooth application - my HG eyE
I thought I'd never go back to eye pencils again. Was using gel eye liners for the last few years but got tired of wasting the gel product, since those little tubs would always dry out, despite me "refreshing" the products through various described methods.
After reading the reviews, decided to chance it and order the Bedroom Black - so glad I did! It really is such an easy pencil to use, glides on smoothly without tugging, one line is only needed for a thin neat line and I reapply one or two more lines if I feel the need to thicken the outer upper eye line. A true black shade in colour plus the best part? No transfer or smudging during the course of the day. Even my contact lenses were spared - and I was struggling with smudged lenses with my various gel liners.
A pretty selection of colours that will suit all skin tones
Just like my review on the red palette, these a lovely creamy lipsticks. Good longegivity unless you're really wiping your mouth and eating/drinking a lot. After several hours of wear, there still is a pretty tinted stain left on my lips. The palette is easy to carry in a small handbag; I carry a lip brush in the palette (there's a slot) for re-application. My skin tone is medium-deep, but the colours can be worn by all skin tones. Having the pics on the website of the lipsticks being worn by both light and deep skin toned models really helps :)
Beautiful reds to suit all skin tones
I'm a medium-deep skin tone. At first glance, the palette looks like it has very similar red shades. There are 2 matte shades (1st pan one is the lightest red, the 5th pan is a more brown-red shade) plus 3 creamy/moist formulations, of which one has a very subtle pretty shimmer in it. This pan still applies smooth, there's no "grit" or rough texture from the subtle shimmer. The lipsticks are creamy and relatively long-lasting for a few hours, depending on my eating/drinking/wiping of mouth. Even if wiped or worn off after a few hours, there's still a pretty stain left on the lips. I keep a small lipstick brush in the palette and the palette size is small and light enough to carry easily in a small bag. I've also got the Rosy-Plum palette - thoroughly enjoying both my ND lipstick palettes :) Hope she brings out a warm brown-shaded palette or a deeper nude-toned palette.
Fantastic oil control with the Phenomattic foundation
I used to use MUFE Step 1 Skin Equalizer - good mattifiying effect, but still felt a layer of product on my skin and would be oily again after 4 hours. I switched over to using the Kevin Aucoin Primed Skin Developer (N/O) and the Natasha Denona Magic Primer Anti-Shine Flawless Face Base. Both of these are divine gel primers that melt into the skin, leaving it semi-matte and gave much better oil control than the MUFE S1SE primer.
The only reason why I got the ND Lifting Primer Anti-Aging Serum as well was because I wanted to pair it with my ND Phenomattic Flawless Texture foundation plus "*sighs*" I am now in that "mature" decade of life ...Words like "anti-aging" now catch my eye :)
The primer is also a gel-like texture, melts into the skin leaving it semi-matte. Combined with the Phenomattic foundation = beautiful all-day matte, soft, non-oily skin. I can't say whether the oil-control is excellent because of using the 2 products together, however, it's nice to have a primer that has got anti-aging properties as well. Will still need to try the primer out with my other foundations.
Good longlasting product, incorrect shade for me
Similar to my review on the Medium IT Corrector, I found the Tan shade concealer a miss for my skin tone. For colour reference, I use the following foundations: KA SSE FX11/KA SSF SF08/ND Glow #75/ND Phenomattic #7/also matched to MAC NC43.5.
The Tan was too light. After colour correcting (using my usual correctors and not the IT Medium shade corrector) my dark under circles (which are not severe) were "lightened" but the shade was just a bit too cool still, so I was still aware of seeing "lightened dark circles".
There needs to be an additional shade or two between the Tan and Deep concealer shades.
3 stars given for product longegivity plus it's a cost-effective product, since only a little bit is required. Too much product = thick, cakey + dry look. However, just like the IT Medium Corrector, the product needs to be worked and blended into the skin before setting with powder. Warming it with the fingers helps.
