Beauty Product Reviews
nice little palette
Im not a hue fan of matte colors, like shimmery eyeshadows better though i like to mix it up. i likes this palette. i used the taupe the most for by brows which is a perfect color for my brown hair without making them too dark. great for crease colors or a light wash of pink and nude. Not too powdery, decent color payoff, little fallout. Something for all make up bags.
grabbed it on sale, good purchased
I saw this at walgreens few weeks ago on sale for like $3 so i grabbed it. Very happy for a $3 foundation. Im pretty pale and got it in shade 100, found it to be a good match. Its lite to medium coverage, blends nicely with fingers. It doesnt look like make-up on which i like. The only thing is its not matte, has a soft dewy look which i actually really liked about it, it looks more natural. It lasts about 6 hrs or so on my skin. Only dislike is the packaging. Its a more of a fluid foundation and can make a mess with the squeeze tube.
Must have in bathroom at all times
I love these. I haven't not had them in my bathroom for past 3 or 4 yrs. I use them about once a wk, sometimes twice, a strip on my nose and under it. I wet a face cloth with warm to hot water and use as a compress for a minute or 2 prior to appling the strip and let it dry. Im amazed everytime i tear it off what comes out of my pores! Great blackhead remover, makes the skin smoother and pores look smaller. They do what they say.
not for my face, ok for body
I got this to try on a youtube recommendation for good scrub. I really did not like using this on my face. Its a thick weird consistancy, doesnt realy smell like citrus but i wouldnt say it smelt bad, and it made a mess of my shower. I also found it realy abrasive and a bit irritating for my face. However i didnt mind it as a body scrub, though it still made a mess. Wont buy again but got through the whole jar.
good value for my Laura mercier replacement
My favorite is LM tinted moisterizer. Love the coverage and finish, not the price (about 24$/oz) I can across this one and it had good reviews on the sephora site and the price was right (about 11$/oz). I really like it! It has good coverage, i would say just slighlty more sheer than the LM one, it has more of a matte finish than LM but i feel it last longer throughout the day. I have skin on the dry side so i put on a light moisterizer before this (i did the same with LM) and works great for a summer foundation routine. It has SPF too. Overall very happy, great substitute!
great scrub
I have dry skin that gets flakey, so i heard that this was the mother of exfoliators and purchased it. I dont think its ment for my skin type so i found it a bit harsh, however using it spareingly once a week around my nose and forehead have definately reduced black heads and gets rid of any dirt build up. I really like it, and it lasts forever. My husband loves it for around his beard b/c its able to get his skin really soft seeing that is it more on the abrasive side. Like the description says, its for stronger skin but you can get away with using i sparingly to get the job done.
saved my dry skin!
I have dry to very dry at times skin. I live in new england and the constant change in temperature and humidity does not help. I also have acne prone skin so use benzol perozide to treat my acne which dries it out more. I could not find a moisterizer that made the cut and came across this in CVS one day and heard some good things about it on youtube. I love it! It is just what my skin needed. I use it at night after cleansing my face, put like 2-3 drops on a cotton pad and rub on my face, wait about 20-30 min then acne treatment. No dry spots, no redness, no ichy and my skin looks more even. Did not break me out at all. Now that my skin is more hydrated it dont feel i need to use it everyday and only on the really dry spots. Best thing was that its cheap! $9 for the medium size and looks like it will last forever. Depending on your skin type and your need for this product i higly recommend it.
