Beauty Product Reviews
Absolutely adore this shampoo. Most purple tone shampoos for blondes are extremely drying. This leaves my locks lush and toned. My highlights remain cool toned and free of brass. I’ve tried so many blonde shampoos and this is my fave by far. The scent is yummy too. Not too sweet or cloying but pleasant and fresh.
This is now my favorite Wayne Goss Brush. It is unbelievably soft yet the firmness makes it easy to pick up product. I have used it for bronzer, blush, powder, highlighter- it is such a multi tasker. I find it ideal for highlighters that are intense to buff it in for a more natural look. I hope more are released because I need a backup!
This is such a beautiful foundation- worth the price for me. I’m 42 so I have mature skin and can have trouble with matte formulas but I don’t always want a dewy finish. This has a lovely satin finish with a hint of glow. Feels very lightweight on my skin. I am light to medium with neutral to warm undertones. I first bought Neutral 22 but it pulled a bit grey on me so I tried Sand 23 and it’s perfect. I apply it with a buffing brush like Sonia G Base One. The coverage is medium yet natural looking and can be built up to full. I am so happy that Beautylish is now carrying La Mer as I’m a fan of their products.
This saved my windburned skin after a recent skiing trip. It’s truly an occlusive- reminiscent of Papaw ointment but with benefits of Squalane. I applied it as a last step at night to the chapped areas of my face and rubbed the excess on my cracked knuckles. I woke up to noticeable improvements. I used it on my 10 year old son as well after he had a cold and chapped skin around his nose and it worked wonders. For me, it’s not an everyday product but one that I want to keep on hand for skin irritation. Thanks Beautylish for sending this.
This is a very nice oil- for my normal to dry skin, I find it suitable for daytime use. I like to mix with Mr. Reliable. I don’t mind chamomile and did notice that it soothed my wind chapped winter skin. Very good price point for quality ingredients. I think that oilier skin types would prefer this at nighttime. Thanks to Beautylish for sending this for me to try. I am impressed by this brand.
I love this moisturizer- I can tell that it has ceramides as it definitely plumps my skin. No overwhelming fragrance which I appreciate in skincare. I have normal to dry skin so I like to layer this over Aquafix (this is more of a hydrating gel serum for me) and I mix the Better Oil with it. Even with the oil and Aquafix under, it doesn’t feel heavy and it looks great under makeup. Thank you Beautylish for the opportunity to test out this new brand.
I have been testing this for several days and am really enjoying it. It’s a great lightweight moisturizer for under makeup and also mixes well with foundations. I had trouble making the Jouer high coverage foundation work and I thinned it out with this and the results were very good. I have normal to dry skin so this isn’t enough for a stand-alone moisturizer for me but I think it would be great for oily skin. It’s a great product. Thank you Beautylish for sending this to me to test.
Amazing eye set! I am a huge fan of Sonia G brushes and anticipated that the quality would be outstanding as I own almost brush she’s made and have always been impressed. But this is next level! I can use just these 5 brushes and get amazing results. The Crease Pro is really a standout for me. It somehow defines my crease and diffuses the shadow simultaneously. I really appreciate that the set includes two packing brushes of different density. The Pencil Pro is genius for deepening the outer V and I used it on my lower lashes as well. The Blender Pro works really well for laying down a transition shade and I used it without product to blend my crease work as a last step. All of the brushes are incredibly soft yet are effective at picking up shadows. I used this with the Natasha Denona Gold palette and experienced less fallout using Sonia’s brushes. This is really an excellent price for 5 handmade luxury brushes. Beautylish is great at notifying you when items are back in stock- if you missed this, get on the list so you don’t miss it again.
I don’t know what I did before discovering Ambient Light - they are the perfect finishing powders. I’m NC30 and my favorite is Dim Light. It blurs my pores, doesn’t settle into any fine limes and gives me an airbrushed look. It truly is like putting flattering light on your face! I like to use Sonia G Face One to apply as a final step and gently buff it in. It blends all of my powder products together for a seamless finish. I also enjoy Diffused when I want to tone down surface redness or if I was heavy handed with blush/bronzer. I can also use Mood Light although I am warm toned. This one is ideal for brightening. My least favorite is Luminous as it’s a little glittery when I compare to the others. ALP is now an essential for me and a product I use daily.
If you love Natasa’s matte formula, you may enjoy this palette. I am having fun with this palette- several colors have pushed me out of my comfort zone but there are plenty of “safe” shades to do a quick and easy look. In my opinion, the best results are achieved when sticking to no more than 3 shades at a time, 4 if you want to use a shadow as liner. The shades can look muddy if you try to layer too many. This palette stretches my imagination and there are so many options. Easy neutral day eye or dramatic smokey eye. It’s a yes for me.
