Hello Nancy! Just saw your post on my profile. It took a whole lot of trial and error to get my skin clear and relatively free of acne. The changing tide had to be when I started changing up my diet. I'm a big sugar freak. I love chocolate, baked goods...anything sweet. Sugar ages and breaks down collagen. I also found that cancelling out cows milk lessened my acne as well. I now only drink almond milk, green tea (hot green tea and not the store bought bottled stuff), I take a shot glass full of concentrated cranberry juice once every morning, water and I have a glass of red wine from time to time. I totally revamped my diet much further than what I'm telling you now. Once that changed then I kicked up my skincare program. As far as skincare goes I use products based on how my skin is reacting on any given day. Since I have oily/combo skin I have to be very particular because one item can be great on one portion of my skin while in another zone it could react negatively so I often spot treat. Currently my program is this: for AM I reach for Mario Badsecu Botanical Facial Gel, Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner, Peter Thomas Roth Max All Day Moisture Defense Cream spf 30,Boscia Antioxidant Recovery Treatment C, Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Eye Cream and for PM: Bobbi Brown Cleansing oil to remove make-up, African Black soap, Mario Badsecu Cucumber Cleansing Lotion and ReVive Moisturizing Renewal Cream,Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus for eyes. I'm big on masks to clarify, brighten and clean out my pores. Mario Badsecu Drying Mask (I only use in t-zone),Aztec Indian Healing Clay mixed with organic apple cider vinagar (I only use this one once a month if that because its sooo strong). Anytime I use those two powerful masks I apply Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight mask immediately. For gentle clarifying Boscia Clarifying Detox Mask and for brightening Renee Rouleau Vitamin C mask. My fave serum that makes for a great exfoliant is Renee Rouleau Glycolic Serum 17% and also her Mint Buffing Beads are great as well. For those days that a lil hormonal acne decides to say hello I spot treat with Mario Badsecu Drying Lotion for PM use and for AM its eitger Murad Acne Spot Treatment or Mario Badsecu Drying Cream under my makeup. A whole lot of deets for ya. I hope it was enough. If not just let me know on my profile. :)
