Three of the most common methods would be waxing, plucking and threading. Laser hair removal is another option for a more long term solution, but needs to be done by a professional. I do not have any experience in hair removal myself. So based on your skin type and what you hope to achieve, I would research suitable methods for your needs. From there you can then go to your beautician or if you are comfortable you can do it yourself. As I said earlier, I do not have experience in hair removal so I have just suggested methods. It is a really great natural way to cleanse your face. The steam softens your skin, allowing any dry or dead skin to easy be exfoliated after steam. Along with softening your skin, the steam gently opens your pores; releasing trapped bacteria, dirt and dead cells. It also helps to eliminate toxins; as the steam is hot is causes you to sweat, sweating is a natural way your body eliminates toxins. I have quite dry skin so it isn't a regular routine for me, I only tend to use my steamer when I have a break out (which is once a month or so) and it clears my skin up within a day or two. I'm not sure how it could possibly effect other skin types and skin conditions, so I would recommend researching the possible effects it could have on your skin. I hope this helps and makes sense, if anything doesn't make sense I'm happy to rewrite or clarify.
