Beauty Product Reviews
Expensive but works well
This is a terribly expensive concealer but you get 15 ml of product. That is a lot of product in comparison to most concealer packaging. Honestly, I wish it was half the size and half the cost because it's a huge investment if you don't like it. Luckily, I liked it.
I have dark circles with pale skin and puffy eyes (thanks, allergies) with some fine lines. The metallic tip makes no difference to me and seems gimmicky, but I like the texture of the medium-coverage concealer and it doesn't seem to crawl into the fine lines very much throughout the day, even without using powder (I don't like wearing thick makeup). It seemed to help with my puffiness, but I'm perpetually puffy so it's sometimes hard to say.
All said, this is one of two favorite concealers that I end up coming back to use repeatedly.
Nice shadows
I love these colors and how much pigment is in the shadows. The colors are staples and it's a good value for the quality, I just wish they were slightly more blendable.
Not the greatest
I thought I'd get this to trim down my makeup footprint more, but I just can't really like this palette. It's heavy and bulky and I seem to just avoid using it. Flipping it over just makes a little more dust fall on the clear window each time.
I'd rather stick to the regular Z Palettes, but I still prefer MUFE's metal palettes even without a visible window due to the form factor.
Favorite mascara
I keep coming back to this mascara. It is an extremely dark black and doesn't dry too quickly, so you can build another layer or two without it clumping.
It's not waterproof but doesn't smear or flake, even with my horrible spring allergy sneezes and some sweat from the gym after work.
The longer wand takes getting used to, but it's not a big deal. The only issue is that, while I love the bullet packaging, it's larger than many mascaras that fit more easily into a smaller bag.
I've never had the mascara leak yet (maybe the other reviewer had a bad tube), and I've been through 5 or 6 tubes so far as of this date.
Strong scent
Unfortunately, I can't use this shampoo as it has such a strong perfumey scent. When I did use it a few times to give it a real try, it seemed about average. It's not very concentrated, so expect to go through it fairly quickly.
The best rinse-free cleanser
I've been importing Sensibio products for years. I require a rinse-free cleanser that doesn't dry or break me out to help remove makeup before I put a motorcycle helmet on, and sometimes to clean my skin after a hot sweaty ride when removing my helmet, sometimes before work or going out. I can't stand getting makeup in my helmet as it's very hard to clean and a gross helmet is gross.
That said, I don't use Sensibio as a normal cleanser at the end of the day as I prefer to wash and rinse with water using another favorite cleanser.
I'm so happy Beautylish is now carrying this in the states! Hopefully there will also be more Bioderma products, there's a lot of great stuff. I love a few of their sunscreens too, but some of them contain Tinosorb which is not yet FDA approved in the USA (it is used safely in many other countries).
Beautylish, please carry the Sensibio wipes, too, please! They're much more convenient to use while out and about.
Truly no-color and very finely milled. A great price for such a quality product! It doesn't cake or change color throughout the day from oxidation, imparts no bonus shine, and doesn't make my super pale skin chalky.
I pour it into another empty powder case for convenience.
Caramel for auburn
I've auburn hair and caramel works wonderfully. I prefer it over the auburn color as it looks more natural on me.
The pencil is a good texture and I have not had it break off, unlike Kevyn Aucoin's similar product. You can build it up or apply it lightly depending on what you want to do. The pencil is thin but not super precise so you can't draw on tiny hairs, but it's very good for filling your brows and tapering the ends.
Near perfect color for my lips for a nude liner (I am the palest of pale but my lips have color). Great lasting power, glides on easily unless it's stored in a cooler place--like most pencils.
I don't like the Eve Lom cleanser, but I like the muslin cloths. They dry very fast, are light, don't soak up too much water or product, are soft and lightly exfoliating.
I have a few other muslin cloths which are cheaper, but these feel a little more well made.
