Beauty Product Reviews
Favourite colour but product could be better.
This shade is the nicest colour I have found to wear in a long time. I've worn it every day and it's just about finished now. With a nice lip balm underneath it goes on smoothly and is not drying. Unfortunately, it's lasting power is minimal I'm literally reapplying it a couple times a day. However, until I find myself a matching colour I will probably repurchase this again just for the beautiful colour.
Too rough and it broke. :(
The bristles definitely were not "soft and caressing" on my face. I have quite sensitive skin and this brush felt like it was poking holes in my face. The handle also broke off. I can't say this last part is such a big deal though considering the price. I think next time, I'll just go for the studio line brushes.
Works for me! Colouring really is a true match.
Definitely works for me! Sets my foundation well and doesn't provide a matte look. Appears to blend in well because i don't get the cakey effect around my nose etc. Helps with oily/shiny skin and I do use it to touch up throughout the day without a problem. Applying this powder with the sponge gives a more intense coverage and I've found that using a brush suits me better. Having said that, I really did like that sponge. I was surprised by how well it applied the powder.
My only dislike is that after 2 days the lid broke off the hinges. Not the most sturdy of packaging.
Amazing scent, good conditioner!
They got the scent just right with this one. The banana scent is gorgeous and not sickly sweet. As for the product, it's quite thick so you need to use some force in getting it out of the bottle but it's a wonderful conditioner. Hair feels soft, clean and smelling of bananas.
Can't say I'll be repurchasing this...
As usual with Lush products, it's the scent that really draws you in. This conditioner smells so yummy! The first couple of uses, it made my hair smell great and kept it soft but after awhile it just didn't do anything for my hair. It is a very thick formula which is difficult to manage (especially if you have thick layers of hair). It also makes it VERY difficult to squeeze out of the bottle towards the end.
Overall, it conditions well for dry hair but considering its thick and slighty gloopy consistency, I wouldn't recommend it if you have thick or oily hair.
Good quality, great price!
I wasn't expecting much because they are so cheap but my was I impressed. A wonderful range of colours and effects to choose from and the quality is great. 2 coats for a proper solid finish but you could still manage fine with one (at least with darker colours). Lasts about 3/4 days before the usual chipping and wearing away begins.
They're not the most amazing cream eyeshadows when used on their own. Easy creasing and sometimes they can literally melt off your eyelids. However, they are easy to apply (if i'm just popping out quickly) and are great colour bases to help loose powders/eyeshadows stick.
Also, love the choice of colours in each duo.
A beautiful range of colours! (Love 152). Applies easily, stays on for a good while BUT appears to be quite drying on my lips which makes my lips look unpleasant. Personally, I've found it's ability to touch-up not very good. It works best if you remove all and start again (which isn't great if you're out and about).
I have purchased a fair amount of ELF nail polishes and for the most part the formulae have been ok. I would definitely always put 2 coats but for the really light colours it seems to me that's not enough.
The darker colours have better pigment and I would definitely recommend them. On another note, I've also noticed that ELF nail polishes come off very easily with nail polish remover in comparison to some other brands I've tried. This is a big plus for me!
