I bought a "travel" kit that included the "mint cream", "lilac" and "punk purple" colors. The lilac color is great on my skintone, even though I prefer darker colors. The small size of the applicator makes it easier to paint, personally. Just two coats are enough to get a good coverage, although a little touch-up on the ends might be needed for longer nails, especially given that it's such a light color. The formula in itself is a little "streaky" after drying, but it's nothing a good top coat can't fix. I used OPI's top coat on this occasion, and the finish was quite nice. Overall, a good nailpolish, and the size/price makes it nice to have around. It's one of my favorite nailpolishes to date.
I didn't like them as much as I would have liked to.
Let me just start this off by saying that the ideal for me would be to go to a salon and have my nails done by a pro but since I’m still working on potty training Valia (aka I’m still changing diapers), it’s not practical.
Anyhow, I bought a couple of nail polish from E.L.F the other and while I loved the price (I bought them for 1GBP), I feel that their quality is a bit meh. The nail polish is too runny and chips after a day even when I do a base coat (I use Sally Hansen double duty which can be used as a base coat and a top coat). On the plus side, the colours are fantastic! I especially loved Fire Coral. It’s an amazing colour for summer.
I think this nail polish deserves three stars. I think that if I could recommend something which is at that price range and has good quality (considering the price), I would recommend Essence. They are cheap and the nail polish lasts for ages.
So far I've only used COPPER and SMOKY BROWN and this has to be the best make of nail varnish I've ever tried! It's not too gloopy, doesn't run and gives nice thick even coats (just not too thick in a bad way).
It took ages for them to chip too which is excellent!
Only downside to it is that they are very hard to remove from your nails! I've tried multiple makes of nail varnish remover and none have proven successful in removing the varnish properly.
Polish it up
Some ppl like these, some dont. I have several of the colors and i havent had any issue. The first coat with some colors is streaky but once you apply 2nd coat its fine. The polish last a good week, of course i type and wash dishes & what not. I would def buy again.
good deal
For the price they work great! They have an awesome color selection as well when they're in stock that is! I have 3 of them a brown, a gold glitter, and pale pink. I was most excited about the pink! I have been looking for a nice pretty pink, but i was let down. It was toooooo pale! it looked like i had nothing on my fingers which i find a lot with lighter pinks :( if anyone knows of a good one please let me know!! I am dying for one. BUT yes overall these polishes are great. They last longer than WnW polishes :)
It is a great nail polish , which you can get in different colors. I love the color variation, and the bottles. But when i apply them to my nails i can only make them look pretty for 3-4 days, because after that they start to crack in the ends....which always results in that i just take it off. But for the price a great nail polish...
In need of inexpensive nail polish?
I have a whole box full of ELF's nail polish! I love the winter collection of 2011 especially. The product is really good. I love it because you dont need to put 3-4 coats of nail polish. I only put 2 coats and it's good to go! These is very affordable and soo many colors to choose from! each nail polish is only 1$!
