Beauty Product Reviews | Page 8

Almost every makeup artist I've ever interviewed has recommended this foundation. The shade range is pretty good and it really covers the skin but gives a good not too dewy, not too matte finish.

This is way more than just a lip balm. It gives my lips a healthy pink tint. If I use enough of it, it can get pretty bright. I love the pretty packaging and the pink that it turns your lips is much bolder than you'd expect looking at the product (it's more like a hot pink rather than the light pink of the balm itself).

I wish Benefit made an eye makeup primer that was based off of these Erase Pastes. I like using this concealer on my eyelids to tone down redness (and hide those little veins that you can see when I don't get enough sleep), but I can't use it with other eye makeup because its creamy consistency makes everything smudge.

After reading all the raving reviews, I decided to give this primer a try this morning. I tried the Champagne shade and while I like that it has shimmer, I wish that the formula didn't dry quite so quickly--I found that made it hard to blend the shimmer evenly across my lids.

A good everyday toner. I have combination sensitive skin and I like to use this if I'm not sure I got all my makeup off with my cleanser. I don't mind the smell, but I wouldn't recommend this for drier skin types.

The purple shade is my favorite. It actually goes on much sheerer than you'd expect from Make Up For Ever, but I like that. You could use more for a more intense color, but I like a light application. I also like the slim size of the tube.

My skin was getting congested from stress and I started getting little bumps on my face. Two nights of using this and the bumps were gone! My face got much brighter and felt very very soft too.

This is my favorite sunscreen for face. I love how long it lasts (when you sweat, it beads up around your nose--so it seems like you're not sweating off the sunscreen). I just wish it left less of a white cast on my face. I can never wear this by itself. I always need to layer a foundation (usually Shiseido's Dual-Balancing) on top.

Essie's Allure (a sheer ivory beige) is hands-down my favorite for a natural manicure (when I'm not in the mood for bright or edgy color). It makes my nails look sophisticated and elegant and clean clean clean.

Whenever I give myself a blowout, this is my go to hair prep product. It's a creamy mousse that doesn't feel crunchy when it dries (in fact, it's invisible when it dries) but it gives my hair just enough lift at the root and helps prevent frizzies along my hairline. I didn't love the scent when I first tried it, but now that I love the product so much, the scent's grown on me because it reminds me of good hair days!
