If you're oily, buy the Matte instead
This looks shiny, almost pearlized when on, so if you're an oilier skin like me, this isn't the right formula for you, choose the Matte instead.
I had no issues with this product other then the shine. I was super stoked when the Matte version came out because I was having to top this with translucent powder.
I found it wore heave through the day, most likely due to the reapply in the afternoon to combat shine. It also made my pores more visible. The compact doesn't keep the product under the sifter, so as it moves in your makeup bag, it shakes it's way out into the cap.
It does what it says. A good product for a normal skin type
Frosted shimmer
This is from a set, it is from the Glimpse line. Called 'Salsa', this rosy pink is gilded with silver shimmer. I have worn it as both a shadow and a blusher. I love it both ways. I believe it is now discontinued but the line is great. The powder is buildable, and the colour is rich. This is super fun. I only wish ALL of the BM products had the locking top, there isn't anything stopping all of the powder from dumping into the cap. Or all over your counter. I'd buy from this collection again.
High shimmer
I Have 2 of these from a set of 4, the other 2 are from the Glimpse collection, 'Lime' bright green with golden shimmer and 'Cerveza' a true pot of gold!!
You can blend these for a softer sheen or apply over shadow primer for a vivid look. Don't restrict yourself to just eyeshadow, like the reviewer below, it makes a fun highlighter too!
I would buy more. They are super fun. $13 per pot.
WORKS!
Ok, so I did not use this on my lashes I use it on my eyebrows. I had super thin brows and I decided to grow them in so I used this as a growing agent. It totally works. I applied it in the AM and PM and saw a lot of regrowth.
The wand easily applies the product. It is clear, dries quickly and does not have an odor. It never irritated my skin. I used 2 tubes. It's a great deal at $50 per tube, even better if you can find it 2For $50 @ Costco!!
Now I have to be honest, I have been tweezing my brows for +20 years, so not all of it grew in. What didn't grow I tattooed on. lol.
Turned me orange!
No joke. about 3 weeks in I thought something was 'off' it looked like the product was a little darker then when I purchased but I wrote it off to the lighting. About 4 days later an employee asked me if I was using self-tanner... No. Then I looked at my hand. It was orange and I put 2 and 2 together. I took it back to Sephora and decided to never buy Philosophy their facial moisturizer again. lol.
Add to your fave moisturizer
This is another great philosophy product. You can use it with basically any moisturizer. Use the included spatula to add the correct amount of powder to your lotion, mix together and apply to your skin as usual.
You will start to see brighter skin, the Vitamin C will lighten your 'age spots' and reveal a more youthful complexion. My skin was brighter the first use and after about 2 weeks I saw the two age spots on my cheeks start to lighten.
I will rebuy, it does what it says. The vessel is glass, brown to protect the powder from light. You should avoid extreme temperature changes, the will affect the potency of the powder.
LOVE MY OPI!
I must have 20 different bottles. I am addicted, the product goes on easily, it's colour true and fast drying. I like 2 coats of the opaque and 3 of the more sheer shades. They don't seem to chip or dull as easily as other brands that I have used. The $8 per bottle isn't too far off from traditional drugstore prices plus I have scored most 50% off at trade secret and pureBeauty.
