Rich colours, Long lasting

This was my favourite pallet Fall '10. With a shimmering all over / highlighting pink and a defining amethyst purple, this set can be used wet or dry and comes with 2 sponge applicators. Highly pigments, a little goes a long way. I love smudging the darker shade in all of my smokey eyes - it's dramatic and seductive.

The go on silky smooth, and never look frosty, just beautiful.

They are a splurge at $41 ($20.50 per shadow) I have 2 sets and I will probably not buy more because you get a bigger bang for your buck with Dior's 5 Couleurs Designer pallets.

Great for maturing skin, too

I really like this. I despise putting my fingers in pots of makeup and most bases are in pots, this this scores high right off the bat!! The wand delivers a great amount of product (sometimes too much, so I move some to my other eye). It is terry, just like their lipgloss applicators, I only wish it was wider, it would cover more eye ares, easier - but I feel it would probably pull too much product out of the tube. *please note, keep it from building up around your lash line. i apply tot he center and work it out from there - it will make applying mascara more difficult.

This keeps my shadows on all day, the colours are rich and stay true. I never feel it on, it is completely weightless. It is also easy to remove, it doent leave residue behind. The vessel is opaque and you can not see how much product is remaining.

@$24 it is pricey but totally worth it because it works.

More Pigment Please

I used this pallet to recreate Jeremy Scott's look. You can see that here: <a class='textlink' href='http://fashionchicsta.blogspot.com/2011/02/my-covergirl-interpretation-of-jeremy.html' rel='nofollow noopener' target='_blank'>http://fashionchicsta.blogspot.com/...</a>

This pallet looks theatrical, almost scary - who can use these colours?! Well, they are not well pigmented, so they go on quite sheer. The compact is lightweight and snaps shut. Open it to reveal a double ended sponge applicator but it does not snap into place, so every time I open the case, the applicator falls out.

I scored this @CVS. At under $6 for 4 shadows, it's ok if they're not super colour-rich, I'll wear these during day and play and save my Dior / Stila / YSL for other occasions. xoxo

Colour could be more intense

This is for #106 Lilac Truffle. It is not listed but is actually the shade in the picture above.

I have never liked Clinique shadows. They are just not pigmented enough for me. I feel the shiny ones are too frosty. This formula I do like but it could be better. This duo features a frosted lilac all over shade with a fawn satin lining and defining shade.

Using a shadow primer is a must if you want these to last and stay color true. I use the smaller, darker colour with a slightly dampened brush, otherwise it is lost in my eye crease. It's just too neutral for my liking.

I am the biggest advocate for their skincare but their colour, not so much.

A coveted 5 star product!

Available in 2 shades, I chose the light. It looks pink when you squeeze it from the tube but invisibly melts into the skin with a velvety finish. I have used this on both bare skin and atop foundation and I love it equally well. It does not smell and I have never run into an issue with product transfer, where I see foundation on my finger tips after applying this mattifyer, unlike Urban Decay's De-Slick in a Tube.

I love this stuff. 5 stars all the way - I highly recommend it! xoxo

Great for easy touchups!

This review is for #02 Soft Brown.

I used Clinique's Brow Shaper for years, so this was a nice change from the powder cake plus it comes with a highlighter! Both sides are retractable, the brow shade goes on smoothly, i was able to create hair strokes, rather then a sharpie look. Complaint: it came loose from the base the second day I owned it - so I have to be careful not to tip it over without the cap tightly in place. The only thing I have to do is gently push the shaper pencil down when I am retracting it.

The highlighter is nice. It really makes my eyes look bright, wide and awake. The colour is a golden peachy-champagne. I have had this for nearly a year and since I use it together, I have not run out of one side before the other. If this was to happen, there are not replacements: this is not refillable, I would have to buy an entire new wand. Now that my brows are tattooed on, I use it as filler, since I no longer have to draw hairs.

@ $15 I will rebuy and I highly recommend this. It's easy, looks good and stays put!.

Sheer - Not Sticky.

So me and pink lipgloss: we have a love hate relationship. Thankfully Doug and I seem to like each other, just fine! The gloss goes on smooth, it is thicker in consistency then most of my NARS glosses.

I do not like the applicator, it is a firm brush-style. I feel these types do not allow you to easily, quickly and most importantly evenly, apply product.

It has an initial smell, that is more like sweetened oatmeal, not creme brulee, that wears away quickly. the gloss does not get sticky not has it run off my mouth. The sheer pink shade has stayed true. I like the glitter, you can not feel it, you only see perfect shine and sparkle.

Since they are sheer, you can layer a liner underneath or just add this to the bow of your lips atop traditional lipstick for ultra shine.

Would I purchase again? No. I do no like this thicker consistency and I really do not like brush applicators for my lipgloss.

On my 4th compact!

This review is for #44 Narcisse

Just passing, this blusher looks like it could be very chalky. It is a rosy pink that I dust on my apples and all the way up my cheek bones to my hair line.

I am quite pale with olive undertones and I tend to turn my makeup a shade darker (thanks oily skin!) but this doesn't oxidize darker - it just stays fresh and beautiful. Also, I am acne prone and most people think you don't want to put pink on red pimples, but this blusher actually helps my breakouts blend in and not standout.

I know it is expensive, it is the most expensive makeup item that I purchase $45. But if you look in the mirror of my picture, you can see the product is in a dome shape, so there is a lot of pressed powder in the compact. I bought my 4th compact in November 2010!! I wear this Summer and Winter.

It lost 1/2 a star because I do not like the enclosed brush. A) it falls out ever time I open the compact B) it is so small, it's more like a sculpting brush.

OPI leaves me Feelin' Hot - Hot - Hot

From the South Beach Collection, this opaque pink reminds me of the plastic flamingos on everyone's yard growing up in Florida. This is a If your looking for full coverage fast, this does it in only 2 coats, beautifully. I'm so into it right now, I wore it 2 weeks in a row. Just make sure you use a top coat, gorgeous. It chips easily. xoxo

I scored this one 50% off at PureBeauty.

Be the 'Bella' of the Ball with Benefit.

This is what Spring 2011 is about. Rich rosy cheeks, bright lips and nude eyes. This watermelon pink is laced with golden undertones, perfect for Spring and Summer. After all, silver undertones are so Winter.

An excellent layering product to POP other blushers or use alone to sculpt and define. The magnetic closure on the box opens to reveal a mirror plus sweeping and sculpting applicator (with purple faux wood handle) and a plastic powder protector, it protects the powder from the oil on your brush, Gorgeous! In my opinion best for Moderately Fair to Rich Medium skin tones.

It is easy to apply, the brush is firm so you can sweep this colour from your apples up your cheek bone or simply use the brush lengthwise and sculpt to define your features. The colour is rich, not chalky. It's easy to blend this colour and build it's coverage. I use it across my hairline, down the center of my nose and along the top of my cheek bones.

Want to be the Life of the Party? I highly recommend this brightening powder!! The Department Store Diva can find it for $28. This is my 'it' colour. With the sealable container, included mirror and brush - convenience and no additional cost - I rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Bravo Benefit!!
