Ashley~ Its an optical illusion that works by creating shadows and highlights on your face using makeup several shades darker or lighter than your foundation. You apply darker color to the areas that you want to slim or reduce (usually nose, cheekbones) thus creating the illusion that those features are sharper, smaller. You apply lighter colors to areas that you want to bring attention to or make appear larger or fuller (cupid bow, bridge of nose). It's an effective way to refine your existing features non-surgically once you get the hang of it if that's your thing :) :)
