Super quality powder

I was surprised that it's so difficult to find reviews on this powder. It's very finely milled and absorbs oil better than any other powder I've used. I have this in about 5 different shades....it may seem like over-kill but I'll explain how I use it to correct off-color (i.e. cheap) foundations.

I use the Neutral Set (Colorless Face Powder) to set all of my makeup and powders. This stuff absorbs in the skin and has no chalky residue. This powder is my go to oil blaster in the summer.

I use the Banana Viasge Powder in a similiar manner as the Neutral Set, but this one gives me face a touch of warmth. The color absorbs beautifully and doesn't look 'yellow', it just soaks up the oils, sets my concealer/foundation and adds a warm glow. I love this stuff!

I also have Coco-Tan, Chestnut and Sienna. These three are brown shades with different undertones. Chestnut is pretty much an exact match to my skintone. Coco-Tan has a slight orange undertone and Sienna has a more reddish undertone. Chestnut is in between.

While I can wear each of these powders over my foundations and still look great, I find that I can use them to counteract any foundations that have funky undertones when I apply them. For example, L'Oreal True Match foundations leave a weird greyish undertone on me....even when I set it with my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish or other powders. But when I set it with my Ben Nye powder in Sienna, it balances out the chalky grey tones and leaves me with a nice finish.

I can't say enough about these powders. I love them. You get 1.75 oz/49 gm. for pennies compared to Smashbox or MAC products. I only paid $3.75 for the tinted powders and $4.25 for the Neutral and Banana Visage powders!!! These can be purchased at most theatrical stage shops/costume shops or you can order online. I found a fantastic website for a wonderful company in Wisconsin that carries a wide variety of Ben Nye Products.

Holy Cannoli!

I got this in Royal Sugar, Magpie and Tiara. Now I want the rest!!! I don't use loose pigments too often, but was blown away by the quality of Sugarpill pigments.

The computer can never do these rich and vibrant colors justice. Royal Sugar is a bright, deep, sapphire/royal blue that surprisingly doesn't go over the top. Tiara is a gorgeous silver that reflects surrounding colors and Magpie is a deeper, more complex navy blue shimmer.

I'm not sure if my camera picked up the vibrancy of these colors very well, but I absolutely love them.

The apply soo easily. I just used a NYX base in white and did not dampen my brush at all. I used a flat shader brush to press the pigment in and after 2 hours, no fallout. There was a tiny bit of pigment around my cheeks and nose immediately after applying, but that is normal.

The shipping was very reasonable ($5 flat) and the cost is incredible (only $12!!!). Great, vegan product. I can't wait to try the pressed shadows.

Another great palette by Too Faced!

I got this last week and fell in love with how easy it is to create looks with this palette. I have the Natural Eye Palette and was a little worried about maybe spending money on something that would be too similiar. They are totally different palettes.

The Naked Palette has beautiful shades that can be worn with all skin-tones and help you acheive a very natural look. The colors blend beautifully and none were chalky on my NW45 skintone. Stiletto is a verrrry matte black. I absolutely love this black for lining my eyes or as a pop of dimension to my outer-v if I want a more dramatic look.

The matte colors are perfect for a truly 'naked' look and the shimmers have more of a lovely sheen to them than an over-the-top shimmer.

If I had to choose between this one or my beloved Natural Eye Palette, I would probably go with the Naked Palette. You can use every color in this palette for everyday looks.

Edit (9/6/12)...I'm finding that I don't use this palette as often during the summer. My complexion really warms up and I find myself only using it for two colors. I still love this palette, but it works much better for me when my skin doesn't have a summer glow. My new year-round fave is the Matte Palette Too Faced recently introduced!

Whoa Mama!!!!

I love this shadow! I have Bad to the Bronze (which I wear almost everyday!), Bold Gold, Tough as Taupe and I finally found Pomegrante Punk this morning. These cream shadows can be worn alone or as a base for other shadows. I use a primer before applying, but these babies last beautifully without a primer if you forget to put it on.

I haven't been able to get my hands on the other colors yet, but I'm stalking my local drugstores and expect to see them soon. These are a wonderful, affordable alternative to MAC's Paint Pots. They all have a hint of shimmer except for the Taupe. The Taupe is totally matte and has a slightly greyish/purpleish tone to it.

These are worth a try....Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreen or Ulta are constantly holding BOGO's so you can score a great deal, especially if you combine with coupons.

Perfect, perfect Foundation! The best coverage!

I've been wearing this steadily now for well over a year and am ready to give a review.

This foundation is the 'HG' foundation for me.

I am a Caramel/Cappuccino blend. Caramel is my more natural color and I can wear it alone with no problems most of the year. Cappuccino, I can wear alone towards the middle of summer when I've had more sun exposure, but it tends to be a little dark.

So I mix the two colors for a perfect blend. During the winter, it's 80% caramel/20% cappuccino. and During the summer, it's 75% caramel/25% cappuccino. I have not had any problems with the foundation drying out before I apply and blend. Since I mix the colors into an airless, vacuum pump I don't experience any waste of product.

I have applied this with my hands, sponges and various brushes. I find my most successful and natural looking application is when I use my Bdellium 957 Precision Kabuki brush. (I have a review of these fantastic brushes on this site) It blends and buffs to a flawless finish. People do not realize that I am wearing foundation when I use this method.

I have not had any issue with transfer. The color stays put. During the winter, I don't use much powder, just a little on my T-Zone. I have not had any oxidation issues or discolorations. I've had no break-outs or irritation using CS. It also mixes great with my moisturizers for a perfect, tinted hint of color.

My only complaint is that the bottle is not a pump bottle. Since I custom blend my foundations, it's not too much of a hassle for me, but when I just want to wear one color...I prefer a pump.

I wore this on one side of my face and MAC's Matchmaster in 7.5 ( a sample from MAC) on the other with no powders or primer. I went to Sephora, Ulta and Nordstrom's MAC counter and NO ONE could tell the difference! I'm not slamming MM, but it doesn't make sense for me to pay a premium price for something that is identical on my skin as a $8 drugstore brand!

I use Rich Ginger as a highlighter under my eyes and along my nose....since it's so thin, it's undetectable.

I hope that Revlon will come out with a couple more colors for women of color....I lucked out with Caramel, but there are about 5 true shades between Caramel and Mahogany. We come in more colors and undertones than light, medium and dark! I love this product....and I have tried just about everyone else's (Iman, Clinique, MAC, Estee Lauder, MUFE, Lancome, Avon) and this is my perfect match.

Nice....but not worth all the hype.

I only gave this a 3 star rating because this foundation doesn't work any better for me than what I am currently using (Revlon Colorstay in Caramel). I can't justify spending all my money on something that doesn't work any better that what I have.

When I visited the counter, I only had on the Colorstay and the MUA thought that I was already wearing MAC product! She gave me a generous sample of the Matchmaster in 7.5, which is a great color match for me to try at home. Honestly, on my skin, it looks exactly the same as the Colorstay. I put 1/2 of the Matchmaster on one side of my face, and 1/2 Colorstay on the other and no one could tell the difference! I wore it back to the same MAC salesperson and even she couldn't tell that I had different foundations on my face! She was great and told me (on the quiet) that she couldn't recommend that I switch to MAC. Why spend the extra money just for the name?

I used it for 2 weeks straight and didn't have any problems with breakouts, oxidation or melting. I did need to touch-up the T-Zone a couple of times, but nothing major.

The Matchmaster is nice, it blends well and the color selection is fantastic. I truly believe that for people who don't have the same luck I have with Colorstay or other foundations, this may be the one you are looking for....good luck!

Got it in Chestnut and Deep....great concealer

Finally a concealer from Avon that matches my skin-tone! I got this in Chestnut and it matches perfectly! I use deep as a brow highlight and (sometimes) eyelid primer. I like that it is in a stick formula and is easy to apply. It blends very well and covers my dark spots perfectly.

I'm very happy with this concealer....will definately re-purchase before they discontinue as they are known to do!

Great winter foundation!

I love this product! I got the Warm 2 palette and it works great as a concealer. You get 5 different colors that you can blend and customize to your skin tone. I use the lighter colors as a highlight.

This foundation applies very creamy and blends beautifully. I used to be nervous about using this as an all over foundation....especially on my T-Zone, but it blends beautifully during the dry winter months. I also use this as a concealer.

This was a total impulse purchase for me. I like that it does not change colors as time and oxygen hit my face. I will probably try the neutral palette for kicks.

An old favorite, can't beat the price.

I love Glazewear. I find that on me, I get a great color payoff and it lasts about 3 hours (if I don't drink anything!). The best thing about these are that they are not sticky.

The different formulations are great...I like to use the dazzle over a soft lipstick to give it oomph. The intense colors can be worn alone and all the versions give me a nice shine on their own.

I've tried 'em all...MAC, Chanel, YSL, Lancome, but I keep coming back to Glazewear. Avon always has these glosses on sale.

Surprisingly good quality for a very cheap price!

I have this in 820 - Brushed Suede, 830 - Deep Mocha, 812 - Smooth Latte and 920 - Raven.

The 820 is a matte, rich, chocolate brown color that is almost a perfect match to my skintone. I've been using this for years as a transition color between my brow highlight and contour colors. After hearing soo many people wax poetic about MAC's Saddle, I decided to visit a MAC counter to see if it was worth all the hype.....not! I find Brushed Suede to be a better color and value for my skintone.

I use Deep Mocha (830) as an eyebrow, eyeliner and crease color...I also use it as a contor color. It works brilliantly on me as it has absolutely no shimmer at all.

Smooth Latte (812) is a very nice, soft, taupe color that looks good on my lids or as a subtle highlight and Raven (920) is your basic, soft black. I like that it's not too intense, I use it in my outer v and as a liner.

I'm soo glad that I didn't waste my money on something that I can find for 2 bucks at a local drugstore. I'd rather use the savings for MAC's Paintpots!

These are great colors for women of color who need a very neutral, transition color or a matte lid color for a 'naked' eye look. These also work very well with my more expensive shadows.

I have tried these without a primer first and they do last about 4-5 hours. With a primer, they last all day long. I'm glad I gave these a try.
