Beauty Product Reviews
Very pigmented and buttery
This LORAC eyeshadow applies like a dream! I love this rose-gold color and it shows up very nicely on the skin. The color is pigmented and the formula is very soft and smooth. Highly recommended!
Awesome liquid liner
This liquid liner is easy to use, waterproof, and smudge-proof. I love the pen-style brush and it gives a very precise line. This liquid liner is similar to the Dolly Wink Liquid Liner but it's much more accessible (for those of us in the US) since you can buy it at Sephora.
Great at removing makeup without drying out the skin
I usually switch cleansers whenever I run out, but with this product, I would actually repurchase. It does a good job of removing my face makeup, especially when paired with my Clarisonic. Some people don't like the fact that it doesn't foam up, but I see it as an advantage because I find non-foaming cleansers work the best with the Clarisonic. Sadly, this cleanser is not great for removing waterproof eye makeup. But for hard to remove waterproof mascaras, I prefer to use this cleanser first before using makeup remover because I find it more effective that way. Most importantly, this cleanser doesn't dry out my skin and it's gentle. It works well during both humid and dry seasons!
Works for hair that doesn't curl easily!
Remington makes awesome hair styling products at affordable prices. After getting their pearl series flat iron, I had to get this curling wand. Before using this wand, I had so much trouble curling my hair because my hair is naturally wavy and I don't see a difference when I curl my hair. With this curling wand, I can get really nice curls that lasts all day (sometimes even on the 2nd day)! This wand also comes with a heat protective glove, which is great for those new to clipless curling wands.
Lasts on oily lids!
I have oily eyelids and a lot of mascaras smudge on me. Since I wear contacts, I always use waterproof mascara. This mascara does a great job of staying on my lashes instead of ending up on the skin below my eyes. There's some minor smudge after 5 hours but it's not a big deal. I'd recommend this mascara as well as the CG lashexact waterproof mascara, which is more lengthening than volumizing.
The perfect toner for combination skin!
This is a must-have toner for those of you with combination skin. It's especially great for fall and winter, when my T-zone tends to get really oily and the sides of my face gets really dry. It's an alcohol-free toner so it doesn't dry out my skin too much. I use this twice a day after cleansing and before moisturizing. Compare to other Mario Badescu products, the scent is not strong at all and it's actually quite pleasant.
Great for hair and skin care but pricey
I like to apply argan oil in two ways: 1) apply 3 drops to my hair when it's damp to minimize frizz (when it air dries), 2) mix it with a facial moisturizer and apply it to my skin in the winter. This argan oil works effectively and does not clog my pores. The only downside is that it's really expensive. The Elma&Sana Argan Oil is an affordable alternative to this product.
My go-to mascara
I use the waterproof version of this as my everyday mascara. It gives my lash length but not that much volume. So I like to pair it up with Clinique High Impact mascara, which gives my lashes a lot of volume. The CG lashexact formula dries fairly quickly and it doesn't clump. It usually doesn't smudge unless the weather is really humid and my skin is really oily that day. If you are looking for a mascara that will make a dramatic difference, this one won't do. But it's great for a natural, everyday look.
Great primer that helps eye makeup stay put
I got this primer for only $10 during Black Friday at Sephora last year. It's a really great product and works just as well as Urban Decay Primer Potion. I think the texture is slightly thinner and not as dry as that of UD primer potion. I'd strongly recommend this product to those with oily eyelids.
