Thank you! I've never actually met anyone named Anjum, so that's cool! Well, except when I was 4 and went to Pakistan, but I don't actually know if I'm imagining meeting her, or if I actually did... Ah well.
Hi again,
I just read your advice on YouTube tutorials and was wondering if you had any advice on photographing make up? Your pictures are gorgeous. Do you edit the brightness or anything? I always struggle with photographing make up for some reason xoxox
Me too! And thank you. Well, some of it is luck, so I try taking lots of pictures in different rooms with different lighting, so that I have more different types of pictures to choose from. Some of my pictures I do edit, just because the flash washes them out. Just to add a little life back to them, you know? But some, like my profile picture, aren't edited and just turn out well on their own. I use gimp to edit. It's basically the same as photoshop, but it's free! I don't want to write too much, but any more questions, and I'm here!
I'll defo try taking pictures in different places. I know exactly what you mean, it's like they come out clear, but a little too clear, a bit white washed. I downloaded GIMP the other day and have been watching tutorials on YouTube of how to edit on there. Is there anything particular you do? Like certain tools so I can type in to YouTube to learn how to use? Sorry for being a pain haha. Also, so sorry but I deleted the wrong comment on my blog you left on the nails post. I didn't use China Glaze, I used a normal red polish then added a glittery Models Own colour over the top. Thanks for the help :)! It's really appreciated xxxx
Not a pain at all! I love talking to my internet beauty friends! Anyway, I use the healing tool for hair, blemishes, and undereye wrinkles. I use black to enhance my eyeliner, lashes, and my pupil. I will use to color tool that you use to get a color from the picture, brighten it, and blend it a little bit (low opacity; about 15) to get rid of white washing. Burn and dodge to lighten and darken respectively. Blur to blur the areas around my eye... That's mainly it. It definitely takes a few days to get, but you get the hang of editing pretty quickly. It's just when try doing something besides beauty looks that I have to always look it up :)
Thank you so much! I've just saved what you said so I can learn how to do things. Photo editing properly is something I've always struggled with, I'll take a picture, edit, upload then decide I don't like the photo after all ha. There always seems to be a blemish or something. I'll have a practice over the weekend and fingers crossed finally be able to upload some decent pictures. Thanks again! Subscribed to you on YouTube, you're a natural! xxx
