Yikes
Thia is my first creme shadow, and I had read an article that suggested these colors for an easy eye look. I picked up the precious metals palette, which has a silver, yellow gold, bronze gold, and a deeper bronze. The shadows crease like CRAZY, even with a base. Plus, they're more shimmer than anything. If I lightly pat them on, the color is too much, but if I blend them then I just get a very lightly pigmented shine. It's just a bunch of glitter that takes awhile to take off. The only shade I like is the one on the far right , the deepest bronze. I use it over a powder shade in a similar color, and I only use it near my brow bone for shine. Other than that, I don't suggest this brand if you want a nice creme shadow. The colors are pretty in the package, but don't work well in a actuality.
Thank you bare escentuals!
I have the palette shown above, Muse. I was wary of the color because my skin is rarer, but the pink reads beautifully on my alone. I especially like the darker shade either in my crease, or as a liner. I was excited when bare escentuals came out with these palettes. The shadows are so unbelievably soft, and they done ever crease. The pigment is fantastic, and I can't wait to try other shades. The second I own is a more for a natural look. It has a gold tone for one share, and a deep brown for the other. I love the high shine of te lighter shade. It made my entire eye area brighter, and I don't have to worry about the color smudging or creasing. I do mean this when I say a little goes a long way, because these shades are very pigmented. I dislike the applicator because I feel it tugged on my eyelid too much, so I just swipe a clean index finger into the colors. It really doesn't take much to get the effect you want. Again, I can't say enough about these products, so I recommend this to those who want to test out the brand, or who are just looking for a fresh new product. These cosmetics are natural, and really do improve your skin over time.
So, so good
Sugar plum is just one of the four shades of this gloss that I own! My absolute favorite came in a gift set , and it's called cherry pie. It makes my lips look perfectly full, and the red shade is just right. I don't have to apply is constantly, and the only downside is that it's slightly sticky. But, I wear it over a little Chapstick, which usually helps combat the stickiness. Sugar plum is another favorite. I received it as a Christmas gift, and it's a shimmery plum shade that works well with my skin tone. I actually love mixing these glosses together, so I can meet in the middle color wise Third is sugar cookie. I must say, I don't prefer it on its own because my lips are a bit too dark for it. But, I like it mixed with the plum, so my lip color isn't too light. The shade would work well on an olive skin tone. Lastly, is apple butter. Even the name is scrumptious. This came in the set that included cherry pie. It's a nice bronze, brown shade that works well with my skin tone. I didn't like it initially because I'm used to darker lip colors, but it's still a fabulous shade. I highly recommend these glosses because even if one shade doesn't work out, there are tons to choose from. I guarantee there will be at least one that works for you.
It is very very high shimmer
Having full lips, I try to steer clear of heavily shiny glosses, so for me this was sort of a mistake. But, the gloss is still very nice. Bobbi brown products are very high quality, and this is no different. I like the applicator. It used to be a brush, which i usually dislike for an applicator, but now it's a sponge. I generally use about one swipe, and that's enough shine for me. I use a deep pink shade called sequin. If you want shine and moisture, this lipgloss has it.
Very light, and warm
I received the as a Christmas gift, but I didn't take to it initially. I'm used to much heavier scented fragrances. But, I like this because it's a very warm, soft, musky sweet scent. It doesn't change on my skin, as perfume often does. Because it isn't heavy, I don't need very much of it, and even the tiny bottle has lasted quite a bit. I like that VS has something that isnt too sensual, but also not super sweet and sugary.
Color issue
I must agree is saying that the color of this bronzer isn't quite right. It's not dark enough for my skin, but it actually works pretty well for a highlighter! I apply it on my cheekbones, and down my nose. It does give my skin a glow, especially with these summer months. I do like how inexpensive it is, and I'd but it again. I just wish that it was slightly less shimmery, but other than that, it gets the job done.
Kajal, oh kajal
What can I say, this is my favorite daytime liner. This is the first kajal liner I've ever used, and I'm obsessed with it! It glides on well, and a little goes a long way. The only downside is that my eyes water from allergies, so this tends to dissappear on my lower lashes a few minutes after applying. But, I generally use a base, then I smudge this liner on my lid, and if it's hot out I'll apply a powder over it so it lasts. I love the brown because it isn't too harsh, and that's shy I recommend it for a more natural look.
Definuteky a favorite
I read countless magazine articles and makeup blogs referring to this shade as a go to item. Their verdict was correct! Orgasm is a light peach pink, with gold shimmer. It's fine on its own, or I use it with a bronzer for more of a glow. The formula is sheer, and this shade compliments my skin tone quite nicely. I actually wasn't a fan at first, but now I'm hooked. I definitely recommend this, as it is universal.
Not the best, but nice!
The eyeshadow itself has a very soft, velvety textures. The gold is really nice. It's my favorite gold shadow. Unfortunately, the brown shade looks a little too murky on my skin tone, so I don't care for it too much. I'm also not quite sure why the highlighting shade takes up 1/2 of the palette. It's an odd light cream shade with a purple shimmer ( yes, it sounds odd). I've tried this look out following the instructions on the back of the package, and it does definitely bring out the gold in my eyes. It's pretty inexpensive, and I think the gold shade is worth it.
