Not for sensitive eyes
1. Doesn't remove waterproof makeup easily. 2. BURNS sensitive eyes. 3. The smell is really strong.
I won't buy or use this product again to use on my face. I'm using it on my eyeliner and lip liner brushes to clean then rinsing the brushes in water to remove any extra remover.
Nice colors
I have the purple and blue creme shadows. The colors are not as pigmented as they could be but over all it applies nicely and the colors are okay. Blending isn't as smooth as it could be unlike with the body crayons but not as bad other other creme shadows that streak. It's okay for $1.99.
Not for sensitive skin
Bought this product on Sunday 11/28/2010 and used it on Monday 11/29/2010, I will NEVER buy this item again for the following reasons:
1. The color does not match my skin tone. I can use medium foundations (ranging from "Creamy Natural" to "Sand Beige") and most are closer to my skin coloring than the "medium" from this line.
2. The product burns my skin. I'm still itchy.
3. The product was cakey and drying. I think that's why I'm itchy because my skin feels so dry.
4. It doesn't blend well and was very spotty.
5. Cost - around $6 - for a very small amount of product. If you compare the amount and price to that of better drugstore brands you're actually paying MORE for the product than a different drug store brand. (Hence I have it a 4 star when it came to pricing.)
Overall my face looks terribly dried out as if I put on a ton of foundation then layered it with a ton of powder. All I have one is the foundation, lipliner, lipstick, eyeshadow (which normally looks fine but looks very cakey and blotchy) and mascara.
Save your money and buy a different foundation.
Black polish
I bought the black nail polish (without glitter) to use as a base for my silver. I didn't expect the black polish to be so... well black. Typically black polishes I've bought in past are not as dark in one pass and it takes at least two layers to get a nice black color. With the WnW Shine Nail in black I only had to apply one layer of black to my nails for it be a nice deep black.
Cost 99¢.
I gave this 3 out of 5 stars simply because while the color is great, the smell is really strong and aggravated my headache.
Used it for years
It is my favorite liquid black eyeliner though since once it dries it pretty much stays put. I've used it for years myself and the only major drawback to this product is that it is difficult to remove if you don't peel it off completely. Wish they'd make this liner in other colors besides brown and black.
Breaks easily
While other items from the HiP line are good this is one that wasn't the greatest. It constantly broke which required more sharpening which wasted product. I've tried using it at room temp, it was too soft. I put it in the 'fridge to harden up a bit and it was too crumbly. Instead of an eyeliner I use it as a black eyeshadow base by using the broken bits on my eyelid instead. Not worth the money and I don't recommend it. The color is great but the product overall isn't.
Leaves foundation cakey
This "primer" is more of a cream base than a true primer. After applying it to my face I waited a minute or so before applying my foundation (I do this with my Smashbox primers as well). My foundation looked cakey and streaked badly with this "primer". I had to use a makeup sponge and a foundation brush to even out the foundation and even then the foundation still looked terrible. Adding a powder made it worse. I ended up returning the product to the store because of how bad it was. I don't recommend this "primer" at all since for around $13 (which is what this product averages out at stores) you can pick up a better primer at Sephora starting at $8.
High pigmentation
I've been using HiP for a few years now and LOVE how bright and vibrant the colors are. The biggest drawback on the product is the fallout and that the product doesn't wear all day without an eyeshadow primer (I do NOT recommend their primer at all). I would buy this product again.
Great pigmentation!
I have Asylum (red) and Decora (hot pink) from Sugarpill. I LOVE these loose pigment eyeshadows. The colors are bright, little fall out and at $12 it's a great deal. Each jar of pigment is now labeled with the product name on the bottom of the jar, originally it wasn't labled. You can use the product alone or to make it really pop use an eyelid primer. At this time Sugarpill does not have a primer in their line.
