Beauty Product Reviews

Gorgeous & highly pigmented

These colors are gorgeous for the fall. Each color pairs well with all the others in the palette. Fantastic as an eyeliner when used with a mixing medium (either their own, ESUM, or another brand).

Pros: Blends well. Pigmented. Long-lasting (except on oily lids, use an appropriate primer if prone to oil lids). Lightweight, easy to travel with.

Downside: Very soft so be sure to use a light touch.

The palette is magnetic so if you have any of the other EDITS you can easily mix and match to create your own custom palette for travel. These colors play well with the other EDITS and other Viseart shadows.

Easy to use

I love the kitty shape palette - I have this one in white. The strap is easy to adjust to your palm or wrist, the magnet is strong and holds several metal pans easily. Of course the shape of it is my favorite because I LOVE cats. This is a MUST HAVE.

Easy to use

Note: I do not have this exact one mine is the Paw Palette Magnetic Cat Shape in White. Same item just a different shape.

I chose to purchase the magnetic Paw Palette at IMATS LA 2013 because I had seen Elessa (Pursebuzz) use one after IMATS LA 2012. What I like about the magnetic one is that if you have a loose pan - shadow or lip gloss you can put it on the palette to use and the strong magnet will hold it in place.

The only downside I have with these is that the strap while adjustable doesn't have a quick adjusting strap but that's just me nitpicking.

Would I repurchase? Yes. If Beautylish were to get exclusive glitter cat palettes I'd buy another. ;)

Gorgeous color

This color is so beautiful and sparkly, like wearing purple diamonds on your eyes. If you're looking for a soft purple that's not overpowering then this is your purple glitter. Love it! Use it as an eyeliner if you want a "subtle" yet bold statement.

Black Knight not worth the money

I bought Black Knight on November 28, 2011 which was Cyber Monday. It arrived on December 1 which I think was fantastically fast. I finally got around to swatching it today (December 2) and compared it to Wet 'n' Wild's Fantasy Maker lipstick in Black. I'm completely disappointed in the M•A•C lipstick. It's not as rich and pigmented like the WnW one at almost $16 (with tax) I felt very disappointed that I wasted my money on it. My WnW lipstick was only $2.99 and I got a few more grams out of it!

I obtained a deluxe sample (1 oz, $4) from my 3rd Quarter Test Tube from New Beauty and absolutely LOVED the smell of it. Like Marria, I found it to absorb quickly, left no residue and made my hair feel soft and silky. The con is that it is expensive but it does last a long time depending on how long your hair is.

One packet, 1 oz, was enough for my hair which falls just below my shoulder blades. Longer thicker hair or and you'll need more, shorter hair and the 1 oz packet should last maybe two uses maybe three. I'd definitely be picking this up again.

Creamy and well pigmented

I love my NAKED palette despite not using it often. I was lucky to be able to get it at the $44 price with the pencils right before the price change and switch to the brush.

I also own ELF's Spring/Summer Neutral palette which is a 95% dupe for NAKED. If I were forced to choose between the two for quality it'd be NAKED, for price definitely ELF.

In my pic the NAKED is at the top with ELF on the bottom.

Love it!

I have all 18 colors and love every single one. The nail wheel I added above are all one coat of polish. ONE COAT gives THAT great coverage.

Hit & Miss

I own several Sinful Colors polishes and some are wonderful and some are only gorgeous in the bottle. These two are two that are gorgeous in the bottle but a mess on the nails.

I reviewed Irish Green and Green Ocean and it's here on Beautylish to view. I can honestly say these are two colors from my Sinful Colors collection that I won't be using often.

Beautiful colors

OPI's Texas Collection is out now and some of the items seem to be a hit and miss among the public. People are disliking the new "sorbets" because of how sheer the colors are. The intent of the sorbets are to be like having a gel nail treatment and I guess if you've never had gels before it look weird. I love gels because it really does remind me of the transparency of jelly.

Here are the colors.

OPI Texas Collection 2011

* Austin-tatious Turquoise 871703 * I Vant to Be A-Lone Star 871705 * Too Hot Pink to Hold ’Em 871708 * Suzi Loves Cowboys 871701 * San Tan-tonio 871702 * Do You Think I’m Tex-y? 871706 * It's Totally Fort Worth It 871704 * Guy Meets Galveston 871711 * Don't Mess with OPI 871700 * Big Hair…Big Nails 871710 * Houston We Have a Purple 871707 * Y’all Come Back Ya Hear? 871709

I own the "Lil Shooters" 4-pack mini pack which includes 3 Mini Nail Lacquers (.125 oz. each) and 1 Mini RapiDry Top Coat (.125 oz). The mini lacquers include:

* Austin-tatious Turquoise * I Vant to Be A-Lone Star * Do You Think I’m Tex-y?

I believe the mini-pack retail for around $12.50 to $13 while the individual bottles retail for around $8 to $9.

The only reason I'm not giving this a full five stars is simply because I dislike the color of Suzi Loves Cowboys since it seems out of place in the collection. Wish they had a deep yellow one instead and named it "Yellow Rose of Texas" (famous song).
