Alot
I have to use a lot of this product for it to show up on my skin.
I literally have to apply 3 or 4 times in order for the color to stand out. I also don't like how it makes my lips feel. A filmy excess appeared on my lips a little later. I used it on my cheeks as well, and it disappeared sooner than I thought it would. I was highly unimpressed,
Fave
This is quite possibly my favorite brush ever. I love the fluffiness of this brush. I love it for a quick sweep of shadow or as a blending brush.
I usually use this brush in my crease and outer corner. I like to move in circular motions, or window wiper motions with this brush. I love that you can always build the color, and it's never too much.
I suggest it for those starting to build their kits.
An All Time Fav!
I bought this foundation about a year ago because of the amazing customer service I received at my local Philosophy counter.
My first thought when I put on this foundation was that it burned. It didn't actually burn, but there was a slight tingle in my skin. I was kind of scared but the sensation quickly went away, and I kept it on for the entire day.
I got compliments from 2 different people on how smooth my skin looked. It was a bit surprising because I had worn Chanel before the switch, but if people noticed a difference then maybe it was a good thing.
After a week of using the foundation, I saw a difference in my skin. The foundation is filled with anti-oxidants, minerals, and vitamins. My skin became dramatically better.
The effect of this was that the product did it's job too well. The coverage is full and became a little too much as my skin got better. It was definitely worth every cent though.
Shades for me!!
It's honestly become a job to find a foundation that matches my skin. Everything is either too light or too dark. Usually, it's too light. Cargo was specifically made for my skin, or at least it feels that way. I love that I can use it on all my clients and never have to worry about it not matching.
It blends easily and has nice coverage. The packaging is also economical and easy for travel. I wish more people knew about how nice Cargo is for darker skin tones.
Like more than I thought I would
I was totally against this product because of the ads. I didn't understand why they would put false lashes on models if they were trying to emphasize the fact that you don't need falsies. I thought the whole point was the the mascara looked like falsies.
It was pretty confusing to watch the commercial. It sounds weird, but for some reason I stuck to this until my friend asked me to do her makeup. The only mascara she had in her dorm was this one, so I had to use it. The change was instant.
Her lashes suddenly became lush and large. I was impressed. So impressed that I bought it. I was really satisfied. Even if it's from the drugstore, I believe this is comparable to higher end mascaras.
Science speaks for itself
Living Proof was invented by the students of MIT. Sounds hard to believe but scientists from the school actually developed a special molecule that helps reduce frizz and block humidity. This molecule, known as PolyfluoroEster, is actually what clings onto the hair and keeps it from becoming a huge mess.
I think this is such a unique product, and I would suggest trying the small sample sizes for $10 and seeing how you feel about it. The product is also sulfate-free, so don't worry if you have color treated hair.
Lovely smell
I am obsessed with the smell of this product. I'm not sure what it smells like exactly, but it's calming and soft. I love the way my hair feels when I'm done using it. I apply in my wet hair and I leave it. Sometimes I blow dry it.
I apply mostly to my ends because I don't want my roots getting too greasy. My hair turns soft and smooth. Definitely like silk. I usually have lots of frizz and flyaways, but not with this product.
Great, but discontinued. Ergo, hard to find.
Heist was my favorite crease color. It looked gorgeous and was beautifully pigmented. I looked how smooth it looked and how well it blended
It's so sad that the matte shadows were discontinued.
Feel the BURN!
I love the Smashbox O-Gloss. It's hydrating, makes my lips feel soft, and it gives me a nice natural color. The O-Plump has the same concept, but it also plumps.
I was excited to try this because my lips are too thin for my liking. When I put this on, my lips stung. It stung to the point where it hurt. I felt like I literally burned off a layer of my lips. After waiting a few minutes, I saw no change in my lip size.
The product did not do what it claimed to do, It just turned my lips red, which was more from the fact that I was trying to rub the gloss off because it stung so much.
Stripped
I had high expectations for this shampoo. I had never used Bumble and Bumble before, but I heard such great things about it. I tried the Seaweed Shampoo and Conditioner because I have pretty normal hair. I just wanted something I could use daily.
I found out that I really didn't like this shampoo. I was so disappointed. My hair felt so stripped of moisture when I was done using it. It also felt kind of waxy. I couldn't run my fingers through my hair without it getting tangled. My hair fell limp and had no volume. It stayed super straight, but flat.
I'm also not a fan of the smell. It smelt like just soap. It didn't really have a nice smell, or a smell at all. I want to know that I just washed my hair because of how nice it smells, and it just didn't do that for me.
I want to give it another chance, but I feel like I'll be disappointed again.
