Temptu Pro AirPod In Perfect Canvas Beige is a universally flattering shade because it is a medium neutral. It is a semi-matte so a powder buildup is eliminated in high definition filming. It has a permanent place in my Boston professional makeup artist kit.
Inconsistent Performance
With bold cat eyes trending big this season, I, like every majeup artist that works in fashion and editorial, was looking for a black eyeliner that could deliver carbon black color, a highly pigmented color payoff with staying power and the versatility to create a thin to thick application. And, to find the holy grail - the ability to draw a thin line very close to the lash line to enhance the thickness of the lashes. The first time I bought this liner I was in rapture!!it could easily draw over false lash glue. The second time the felt pen didn't deliver nearly any product at all !! It was brand new and dried out so I'm rating this liner a 3 out of 5. And, I'm still on the hunt for a consistently great liquid or gel black eyeliner.

A Grooming Kit Must Have
I was always a devotee of MAC wipes until I discovered these Makeup Remover Clothes sold in bulk by Alcone. These individually wrapped cloths are nongreasy, sre non irritating even to sensitive skin and eyes, and have a faint but pleasant scent. They are one of the most essential products for a professional unisex grooming kit. I highly recommend them.
Fat always has disadvantages!!
Here's the skinny on Nars Velvet Matte "Chunky" lip pencil. First, I love the saturated color payoff of this combination lipstick and lipliner. It has great staying power and Never Say Never is a universally flattering color for many complexions. However, I was very disappointed in the way it crumbled when sharpened - I lost half the pencil trying to get a sharp point. This feature needs reworking before I buy it again!!
My latest fave for under eye puffiness
I was introduced to this eye cream at the Powder Group's show. It is currently my go-to to treat under eye puffiness. It has several positive advantages, but its main advantage is that it significantly diminishes under eye puffiness!! Secondly, it is rare to find a non greasy eye cream formula so that my concealer doesn't migrate. The biggest negative is that it is expensive for the small quantity in the tube. Overall, it's an essential unisex product for my professional makeup kit.
An excellent alternative to Dior Show Mascara
I highly recommend Eyeko's fat brush mascara. First, I love its unique presentation in a tube. Eyeko's fat brush in black has many advantages, most importantly, it does not clump! Similar to many professional makeup artists, I layer several brands of mascara for a false lash look. I use Lancome's Definicils for length and then layer several costs of Eyeko for volume and depth of color, topped off with Dior Show in Blue. And, viola, a multidimensional false lash look with volume, length and an enhancement of my blue eyes!
Worthy of my Professional Makeup Kit
With bright and bold colors trending at the 2013 shows, N31 is spot on. The shade is a bright pink without being over the top. I love its heavier pigmentation, its staying power, and this hue. I've found two ways to wear it - matte it down or apply a dense clear lip gloss for a high fashion lacquered look.
Maybe God would have spared Eve if she wore Forbidden Apple Pure Color Lipstick!!!
In years past Estee Lauder was your grandmother's line!! But, ever since Lauder hired French runway makeup artist Tom Pecheux, the line has achieved an unexpected sophisticated glamour and cred among fashionistas. Case in point, the new red lipstick called Pure Color in Forbidden Apple for the Holiday 2012/Winter 2013. It is a beautiful cherry red with a subtle luminous shimmer. And, of course, the hidden secret is that this shades made my teeth seem whiter - the sign of a perfect red. His recent color stories (in shades of blue, and purple) seem retro 70s and 80s mixed with a fashion forward, chic, sexy factor. A definite five star rating for Makeup Artist Tom Pecheux's designs.
