Push liner Suits: All eye shapes. This is technique suits everyone and keeps all the lid space - meaning your eyeshadow will show through. Very good for asian eyes, almond eyes and small eyelids.

Standard eyeliner Suits: Standard eyes. Small eyes. Any eye where you have enough eyelid space so that there is still visible eyelid once the eyeliner has been applied.
Does not suit as well: Eyes that don't have enough visible eyelid space (some asian and almond eyes) - otherwise it can look like you have black eyeshadow on.

Winged eyeliner Suits: Asian eyes. Almond eyes. Standard eyes. Small eyes.
Does not suit as well: Hooded eyes as the fold of skin can get in the way and distort the winged effect.

Waterline Kohl Lining Suits: Everyone. I love it and it looks beautiful and really makes a statement.
Does not suit as well: If you have small eyes black kohl liner can make your eyes appear smaller than they are. They will still really stand out but it can shrink the eyes. Using a coloured kohl or gel eyeliner on the waterline also looks great.

Please don't feel when using a KOHL pencil that you have to buy high end. You don't. Often the drug store brands can be a little tough and don't produce a very intense effect on the waterline. WORRY NOT. Use a lighter and wave the pencil through it once or twice. Check the kohl is not HOT and then apply to the waterline. This will turn even the worst kohl pencils into something to be proud of.

Bobbi Brown, Smash Box Cosmetics and Makeup Atelier Paris are safe for use on the waterline. These are much more long lasting than kohl. If you know of any other brands high end or drug store that are safe for waterline use please leave a comment letting us know :)

Remember the above is only a guide line. Never worry. If you liked really winged eyeliner and you have very hooded eyes, go for it. There are no rules in makeup. Just enjoy yourself. Its only makeup.
