Bath bombs are fun to use, and even more fun to make! And for Easter, I thought it'd be really cool to make easter egg bath bombs. But the main ingredient, powdered citric acid can be really tough to find. I found mine at a Health & Foods stores but you should be able to find them at pharmacies, grocery stores, or even online (ex., ebay). It's completely safe to use since powdered citric acid is used to help relieve the symptoms of poison ivy rash, and treat other skin-related problems.
And if you still can't find it, the most common substitute for citric acid is cream of tartar, which can be found in any grocery store in the baking section. Cream of tartar is thicker than citric acid, so simply take this bath bomb recipe and substitute the citric acid with half as much of cream of tartar.
