Can't afford fabric? Re-think how you can turn one article of clothing into many other items. Use a men's sweater and turn it into a mini skirt, a beanie and a pair of mittens.
NOTE: Cable knit sweaters are EXTREMELY stretchy. Any seams that are on the vertical are typically less in stretch than seams on the horizontal. The pattern should be about 1-2 inches smaller (horizontal measurements..waist..hips..etc) depending on stretch.Tip: Sew it first with regular pattern..try it on if, it's too big just trim it. If it's 100% cotton...cheat by washing it and shrinking it in the dryer (just be sure that the length is long enough for shrinking. If you like your buttocks showing...then shake what yo' momma gave ya!)
