"SUBSTANCE" was a no-budget short film created in 2 days by a "dream team" of volunteers. The story is not meant to offend or make fun of ANYONE. The message is that anyone with an addiction should seek help.

"SUBSTANCE" was shot completely on the Canon 550d/T2i using mostly the 50mm 1.8 Lens, but occasionally the 18-55mm Kit Lens. Lighting was natural daylight, living room lights, and everything was additionally lit using Cowboy Studio Tungsten Umbrella Lights. The audio was recorded on a Rode VideoMic. A dolly was NOT used at all in the film, only a shoulder rig and a stabilizer in post production, Final Cut Pro X, to smooth the shots of the exterior and interior of the house, shown in the beginning.
