Hey everyone I'm back with a new product from L'Oreal!
I was incredibly curious about this when I saw it at Target recently and decided to give it a try. This was filmed last week and I've had some time to play with it so I will include a fuller review for you now that I've had time to wear it a few more times in different conditions.
- Claim: This liquid foundations sets to a powder finish for a perfect, flawless complexion, minimizes appearance of imperfections plus includes an SPF 18 to protect from sun damage.
- Formula: Incredibly watery, like woah, they're not kidding with the "liquid" claim. Very runny and not recommended for use with brushes/sponges.
- Finish: Definitely not a matte finish, more of a semi-matte, not very shiny either but not too glowy.
- Scent: I definitely picked up a slight alcohol scent, so it might be irritation to your skin if alcohol bothers you. This is probably one of the ingredients that helps it set to the powder finish because alcohol evaporates so easily. I also pick up a bit of a baby powder scent as well. Overall I don't mind the smell but it might not be for everyone and again, the alcohol may irritate some skin types.
- Coverage: Definitely light to medium, not a full coverage foundation at all. You'll need to use some concealer for under eyes and blemishes, but I have been able to layer more than one application with no trouble or streakiness so it can be built up a little bit, not much.
- Lasting power: I'd give it an 8/10. Definitely not a miracle worker but I wore it out to the beach a few days after filming this and it didn't completely melt off in the 85 degree weather. Will you need to touch up? Yes, but is this odd or out of the norm for summer? No.
Overall I am really enjoying this foundation. I find it quick and easy to apply in the mornings when I want some coverage for work and it hasn't irritated my skin, broken me out or caked up on me. I would honestly recommend it more for normal/dry skin girls or maybe even girls with combo/oily skin who don't get too oily. If you know your skin usually has trouble with liquid foundation in summertime anyway, this may not be your best bet.
That's about it! I hope you found this helpful guys!
Thanks for watching!
xoxo
