My heart breaks for you just listening to this. I'm not much for words but I think you are a beautiful and honest person and one day you will find someone who truly appreciates you for all your good qualities and takes the bad along with it. No ones perfect but I believe if you truly love someone the bad points are not so bad. Stay strong and stay the same.

Wayne, you absolutely deserve to have someone who loves you that completely and can see your faults as mere speckles in comparison to all the wonderful things about you. It's easy to be a "wonderful" friend for a few days, but you put in a long term commitment with your best friend. For him to chose someone who has been "wonderful" for a few days over someone who has been loyal for years is, to put it gently, a wretched mistake. I believe deep within my heart that you loved your best friend with all that you are and gave to him in tremendous ways. I won't pretend to know what happened between the two of you, but I will say that I believe you put your whole heart into your friendship. If you hadn't, it wouldn't be breaking now. I can see that shattering in your face and hear it in your voice. I'm so sorry you have come to suffer such a loss and I wish there was something I could say or do to help.
