Before October came, I thought to research pumpkin, because there's so many good things about it when you eat it, why couldn't there also be good things when you put it on your hair? So, from researching I came up with this mask I show you in this video. It is as follows:
1 cup pumpkin
1 tablespoon cold pressed virgin coconut oil
1 tablespoon raw honey
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
Heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds and then put it on your hair, from about your ear down. You don't want to get it on the roots, because it will be too heavy. However, if you do get it on the roots, make sure you rinse extra to make sure everything is gone. Let it sit on your hair for 20 minute. I even did a little light shampoo when I rinsed. But you can determine what's best for your hair!
Pumpkin is rich in vitamins and minerals important to actually both hair and skin. Potassium is one mineral found in pumpkin that is good for hair regrowth as well as hair health in general. Also plush in antioxidants and enzymes, pumpkin adds great moisture back to your hair. So, if you have some free time at home and need to shampoo your hair, why not make yourself a good autumn inspired hair mask to indulge your senses and your hair!
A lot of pumpkin hair masks I saw online do use some coconut oil and honey, but rather than EVOO they used yogurt. I chose EVOO because I wanted to make the consistency a little bit thinner. Plus EVOO has it's plus's for hair as well.
Hope you guys enjoy!! And if you actually read all that, up to this point, leave a comment saying "it's the great pumpkin!" :] Love you guys!
Stay lovely!
